Thanks for that information. I think that is good news, because I really do think it would be best to get a Kansas D1 program right into the Big 12.

I agree also we will need to support it with attendance and I think Wichita could do that the best right now.

I also think we are going to have to support it financially from private sources (individuals and hopefully corporate). I think Smokeycabin is probably correct that it will take probably at least $100,000 of annual (not one time) funding like this to make it work.

I wonder what the budgets are at Iowa State, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State and what are their main sources of revenue. When you name these bordering states that have Big 12 Division 1 programs it makes you more disappointed that Kansas does not have one.
