I believe the answer is "no" but does anyone know for sure if Clay Center sees Campus in a tournament. Thoughts on who would win between Grater and Cornejo. Had a chance to see Cornejo in Hays last year but opted for the Beloit tournament and saw Grater. Grater was the best wrestler I saw all year. Who would win this dream matchup????

According to the tournament schedule website that cosmo put up, Campus goes to the Newton tournament this year which clay has gone to for several years now. If this is true, expect a clash of the titans in the finals.
Maybe you're not an ugly human, but a good looking ape.....with exceptional verbal skills.

Can you say Newton Tournament? I believe Clay Center and Campus both have that Tourney listed on their schedules for this year. I also wonder what weight Herrera from Emporia is wrestling this year? If he's at 145 also that could be super delicious.

Grater beat Cornejo this summer in a freestyle match. It was very close though.

Hopefully we'll be lucky enough to see this matchup.

I believe Erisman, Cornejo, Grater, and Taplin are all amazingly talented wrestlers. All of the above against any of the other listed would make for excellent and exciting high school wrestling match, regardless of who wins.
These young men are also an excellent endorsements of how high the level of competition in Kansas currently is.

I think the only 2 you have listed that are in the same weight class are Cornejo and Grater. Erisman is at 152 and Taplin is at 160 (I think)

I watched both of those wrestlers last year in the finals and they both looked very good.
However anyone who has wrestled freestyle before can tell you there is a big difference between it and folkstyle. If they do meet up, I can't say who will win but I expect it to be very close, maybe even double overtime.

This Grater/Cornejo battle is absolutely too delicious for me to comprehend, therefore I will not weigh in on the subject, as my head would explode and brains would go flying all over the computer lab.
Another delicious match-up that everyone has failed to mention is the Prant/ToachCwink battle that is taking place over college football bowl picks. It's getting pretty intense. Needless to say, as returning champion, I shouldn't have a problem.
I'd beat Grater/Cornejo in bowl picks, too.

But could you take me down in a spelling bee?
That's right, I'm calling you out. Bring it on Prant.

MancerL, I'll chalk this egregious post up to your youth. Surely someone as smart as you does not really feel they could defeat me in a spelling bee? Is this some sort of weird Opposite Day joke?
Surely you jest, you naive D to the ...well, you know.

Oh, okay, I get it. Passing it off as a joke may be the only way for you to save face. That's okay, I can handle that.
Also, the concept of an Opposite Day never worked for me. If you say it's Opposite Day then it's not Opposite Day and if you don't say it's Opposite Day then of course it's not Opposite Day. Therefore it's never Opposite Day.
I was one confused second grader.

To Prant Garker: Is ToachCwink any relation to CoachTwink that you referred to several years ago at the Hat Town.

I don't think I am the person Prant is referring to. Prant has better sense than to challenge me in any form of athletic competition, unless you consider violin playing athletic, then he could take me for sure.
By the way Coach, congrats on the big Hoxie win, and good luck at Clay Center. Can't wait to come out west in January!
