Now that we're nearing regionals, what are some of the best matches or duals you've seen thus far in the year?

I agree on Zouzas/Gilliland. I overheard some people talking about how they felt the match was boring. But to me it was incredible.
The strategy involved seemed more like an elite level chess match than a typical wrestling match.
Both wrestlers were chain wrestling very well and they often appeared to be using several "set up" moves to get to the shot they really wanted to score with two or three moves down the road.
Another great match for me was the Wiscombe/Sharpe match at the Colby dual tournament. The Campbell/Taplin and Baker/Esterl matches at Beloit were pretty entertaining too.

Finley (Colby)- Jordan (Beliot) was a good match.

I think the final match in the Jhris vs. Prant rivalry was probably the most exciting match in the history of the universe. Hands down. I won 4-0, on a takedown and a reversal. Take that to the bank and cash it Prant.

Id have to say the amazing clash between Friedrichs from marysville and Muir from stockton at Beloit was one for the ages. The "Fat Pat or Inflato Singlet vs. Skinny Benny" match has become immortal to the lucky few that witnessed it.

One of the best matches that I have seen was probably the Metzler vs Charboneau at the Newton tournament a couple of years ago.

Herrera vs. Annon at Newton. Both were quick as lightning on their feet with great technique. On the mat,Herrera showed a little more strength. Great match with two good kids. Also great sportsmanship displayed on and off the mat between the two wrestlers after the match was over.

I've seen this match twice and they both went to double OT Corwin from Silver Lake and Malone from Seaman they were good matches and the scores were 2-1 or something close to that nature

In 2001, Charbonneau won the match pretty handily at Newton. The match this post is talking about is a year later at Newton when Metzler won. It was something like 15-11 with both wrestlers getting back points during the match. It was an exciting match.

At the Johnson County Classic, I witnessed some sweet matches. They would be: 1. Aubrey(SMS)/Bartels(OE) match. It was pretty even w/ a lot of action and Bartels leading in the 3rd. Aubrey escapes and gets a takedown and eventually wins it. 2. Munyan(STA)/Bloodgood(SPH) match. Munyan comes out like a fire cracker and whoops on Cory for 2 straight periods and is leading like 11-2 or something. Cory uses his fine conditioning and just starts pulling crazy moves out of his rear. He scored i think 12-14pts in the 3rd period and ends up getting the victory.
With the power of Ra!

It sounds like the Edgemon/Deshazer matches were pretty good. For all-time matches, I'd have to go with the Bunch/Bradley matches and of course the only match of 4 timers that I know of(I could be wrong), Spaulding/Roberson. How about matches against out of staters? I remember when Dyer beat that all-american Brent Ward from Blackwell at Derby a couple of years ago, and Roberson cut down to wrestle Jason Powell from Chactaw(i think it was Chactaw).

the series of annon vs. speilman matches last year were great to watch and Johnson vs Drennen at state last year, every body was looking to that weight for some great matches and they got one in the finals where both wrestlers had takedowns in regulation and Drennen won in a dramatic overtime
