lol wow not a single kid from any usd500 school made the rankings thats funny. other then that good rankings. marcus walker should definitely be on there tho from schlagle hes like 21-1 now on the year. oh and he wrestles 112 btw

Marcus and D'angelo (Boo) Brooks both from Schlagle, should both be ranked.

You are right both of them should be ranked and there records show it. That is why rankings realy don't mean anything. But i can tell u this that Walker and Brooks are the TRUTH forreal and they will show it at STATE. Good luck to the whole Schlagle wrestling team and the Coaches.

sal tovar who is ranked 6th at 112 lbs is a freshman i do believe.....

what happened to aaron bird from turner? the last time i saw he was ranked 1st at 135. did he get injured? suspended? ineligable because of grades?

I was also wondering what happened to Aaron Bird?

He was ranked 1st and now he is not even on the new rankings.

If he is wrestling, the top three 5A 135lbers. will meet up this weekend at the SEK tourny.

Who is luke schlagel from gardner-edgerton at 140lbs? i have never even herd of him before. what is his record?

I expect some big surprises in 140 5A. The Kid from Valley Center isn't too shabby and isn't ranked. Arnold is a great wrestler but with a good ref will be called for stalling in a tight match. Haist from AC isn't even ranked. Haist won Kids State last year 135. Behind him was Price and Bird. Haist was on JV last year behind Tennent, and Anstine. Haist beat Dawson- Wellington (Dawson 1st 140 kids 2005, Sides 2nd) at Derby tournament 2006. In addition I heard Hentzen threw Haist in an illegal head slam 1st period, 1st match of season at Ark City tournament and knocked him out cold. After gaining consciousness Haist tied Hentzen 6 -6, eventually losing. Friends tell me Haist has recovered from concussion, but then fighting illness. Haist a hot/cold wrestler so we will see 1/26 Valley Center at Ark City.

Who have the Brooks boys beat?


Responding to that question by Blane. Deangelo Brooks has beat Manny Moore from Topeka, Robert Newbill from Wyandotte, the only notables off the top of my head I can think of. The other Schlagle kid Marcus whos last name is not Brooks by the way has beat everyone hes wrestled this year except Matt Rein. He will see Paulie from Turner however Feb 4.

As far as the rankings go in 5A, Lansing has a pretty good kid at 171 with a record of around 15-0. His name is Dennis Kessler.

I think mitch beat haist 9-3 at derby. Not sure what you mean by counter puncher I always thought of arnold as being fairly aggressive.
