All I'm saying is that Kevin Gray got completely screwed. He was killing Deidrick. I feel bad for Kevin, he is a really good wrestler and deserved to place. He gave Corey a hella good match compared to Deidrick.

Dedrick was faking?? was it Bingham he did that to?? What was the score on the Gray and Wright match?? The reason i ask if Deidrick was faking is that i saw him afterward and he was in some serious pain. eitherway Gray did an illegal hold and i don't know if i wouldn't have done the same thing. why risk being hurt even more at the state tourney with a day left?? anyway there's no changing it now.

how can you say he was in pain. he seemed fine to every one else to everyone else later. don't you think it's weird that he only had to win the match to place. he only won one match then got to place. that's not how i would want to be known. also if you look it's not the only time he's down this trick of his. he's been wrestling long enough to know what would happen in the situation.

He did this same thing to me earlier in the year. Luckily his coaches made him keep wrestling after about 5 minutes of holding his shoulder.

Im not sure that I have ever seen such a sad thing. That kid was actually wearing the un-earned medal around after the tournament like he actually earned it. His dad should be embarrassed. I feel sorry for his team and his coaches. He really made them look bad.

I think Deidrick deserves the medal because he beat Briggs.

And Briggs Beat Adcock, and Adcock Beat Wright and Wright beat Gray, therefore who's to say that Diedrick doesn't deserve a medal?? not saying i don't think it was a sticky situation but you gotta give the boy some credit.

Thats one of sad things about it. He possibly could have won a medal anyway, but chose the cheap route, so thats what he gets remembered for.

cntsdad, who are you? I obviousley don't have your keen deduction abilities, but who would need those to "figure out" mystery meat. Just curious, we boys from The the like to know who we are talking to.
Get out my space!

Dedrick, I would half to agree with Briggs except you dont even deserve a 6th place finish. Here's an idea, get your act together and stop winning the cheap way and learn to wrestle the right way. I know you wont beable to get away with that in the upper weight classes like mine.

Dedrick
There's an article in the Kansas City Star Sports Section of todays (Fridays) paper. You really need to read it.
Its about an Iowa States wrestler who could have taken the DQ Win from an injury he recieved due to an illegal move by his opponent,(Steve Mocco of Iowa, the #1 seed).
Instead he injury defaulted giving his opponent the win, because "it was the right thing to do".
This happened in the NCAA National Tournement yesterday right here in Kansas City.
