The next POSSIBLE match up between Roe and Jordan would be Feb. 7th at the Phillipsburg Tounament. We have iced Tracys ankle on and off all day. He will see the doctor monday. Thank you for your concern. A prayer for recovery would not hurt. Sincerely, Tim Jordan

Coach I never intended to challenge his allegiance to his birthright as a outstanding Norton wrestler we just wish he would find his way back to Manhattan. He had made an outstanding contribution to the Manhattan program when he was here… Our loss, Mill Valley’s gain. I also was referring to his alias on the forum when talking about coming out of the closet.

Such respect! I should post under my "Grown-up coaching name" more often!!
Coach, I can't believe that I am that old. Boyle's state champ is almost a Decade old!! No wonder I get sore after practice now!
Parkwayred, who are you? Are you one of the Stomach punch Godfathers? Give me a hint.

The stalling forty’s Dad! I just wish you wouldn’t taught the time management technique so well when you where mentoring Prant. Mike thinks that’s pretty neat to wrestle like a heavy.

The red should have tipped me off! I am proud to say I had absolutely nothing to do with Prant's wrestling style (if it can even be called that). Mike still likes to keep it close? Someone needs to let him know it is a whole lot easier to stick them in the first and get it over with, although I could have learned that lesson a little better myself!
See you at Wichita.

I will just state an opinion here and I must add I was not at the Nt. tourny. However their fans sportsmanship has been called into question here and I must agree that in my opinion they have the worst fans (sportsmanship)in NW and NC Kansas. I have been watching wrestling in this area for many years and this is just my opinion although I have heard it expressed many times. Without a doubt Nt. has a great program, coach and tradition, it's the fan behavior I don't like.

Big Daddy,
In regards to wrestling fans -- please define what a good one is and please identify where they are!!! "Polite/well behaved wrestling fan" is an oxymoron!!
It has been my experience (20+ years) of watching wrestling in Western KS that the success of a team/program/school is inversely proportional to the positive behavior of its fans. When a team sucks, only the parents and a few girlfriends are in attendance--these are good fans because they are too few to be noisy. When a team/program/school is on a roll, the number of fans following the team grows and unfortunately this attracts many who are not "into" being good citizens.
When the pressure is on and the excitement is high, the behavior of Norton fans is no better or worse than those of Hoxie, St. Francis, Beloit, Concordia, etc.
IMHO

I would just like to state (from experience) that Norton has some of the best fans in the State, people who support all the athletic and extra curricular activities in the community. I am sorry some out there let one or two negative experiences with a tiny fraction of the actual fans in attendance color their judgement. For every bad apple, there are 100+ postive supporters of Norton athletics.

I went to the Newton tournament this weekend and so happened to find seating next to the Norton fan base. It was amazing to me what a great bunch of wrestling savvy fans they where… I’m sure there must be some mistake about them booing opponents during any tournament. I think you must of misunderstood the boo’s for GO BLUUUUE!!! These people were great and they love their wrestling. As a matter of fact one gentleman made a comment about how he was missing his daughters Basketball ball game back at home, to drive halfway across the state to watch wrestling and he didn't even have a kid wrestling... Now that’s either crazy or dedication. Even when it was a Manhattan kid against a Norton kid the cheers were mutual for both sides and complements were given when they warranted regardless of who won or lost. This is great bunch of fans and I salute you guys and gals. See you next year. The only question I have is there any peroxide left in Norton Kansas?
