Just to respond to Lunaticdude about not seeing hardly any sophomores at 215, maybe you should look at 4A's state bracket from last year. I believe it had 4 sophs in the top 6, with first and second being sophs. This looks to be one of the best brackets in the state if they all come back to that weight this season.

He is somewhat correct. you don't see a lot of soph 215s that are better than average. Last year was an exception in two ways in 4A. There were several good young kids, and 215 and 275 were not up to par overall. I know that is going to offend someone but it is accurate. Take nothing away from those who did well they earned it. However, I think the 215 champ Bedore isn't going to be one of the ones to dispute it was weaker than some of the other divisions. You are also absolutely correct, 215 looks to be tougher than Heck this year in 4A. I also agree with all those including Bedore who picked Lyons as the one to watch.

My pick at 215 is Lyons. At Hwt. I would pick either Honas or Sprigg. Sprigg is pretty tough on his feet and alot quicker than most Hwts.

I know that there will a great match this year between Honas and Sprigg at the MCL tournament and their duels together. Last year they met twice and Honas won both. It'll be a great match to see. They will both be very tough to beat. I think they will both place at state.

Watch for Horinek from Atwood to be in the mix. Was injured much of last season and just never performed up to expectation after he returned in late January. Was the number one seed in the NW KS regional last year at 215, but had a sub-par tournament. He has the talent, strength and ability to find a way into the medals this year. Plus working out with Coach Scott Urban everyday on the mat will only help his cause.
