Next year, in the State of Kansas from 1a-6a in all events (athletic and non-athletic, boys and girls, individual and team), there will be 498 Total Champions. Of those, 108 will be team championships, leaving 390 individual championships to be won (well, almost, that still counts doubles tennis, duet acting, 4x100 relay, etc.). Of those 390, 56 will be wrestlers. If we divide 56 into 390, we get .14358974. So next year, wrestling will account for approximately 14% of the individual state championships. If we add 56 and 14, we get 70. Next year, it will have been 70 years since Colby and Wichita East won the 1936 state meet. So next year, Colby and Wichita East will win their respective state meets.
It's in the numbers!
I might buy the Colby one, but is there even a Wichita East around anymore?
