Agreed krazykat, they all have displayed good sportsmanship and are displaying what is good about kids wrestling. I am also proud of the way that they have performed and carried themselves.
By the way tsbhawk. Did you notice your son getting waylaid with the cross face in the overtime match? Basicly instead of cross facing the kid was just hauling back and repeatingly hitting him. Man, I told the ref to watch the cross face and so did your coach. The ref said he didn't see it. My GOSH!! Open your eyes. I was glad to see him finish the takedown to win.
I was not close enough to see exactly what was happening and Stephen didn't complain about it. That was his first OT match of the year. I was also glad to see him win it as it meant his first trip to state. He was and is on cloud 9 right now.
Also, thanks for telling the ref about it. Sometimes I wonder if they are seeing the same thing we do.
