Anyone know why the lady with the little crystal was performing some kind of hypnotic ritual over the Hoxie wrestlers before they wrestled. Not making fun, we saw that and were just kinda wondering???

It was witchcraft. No seriously, it was some thing to do with releasing the negativity in the body. It has to do with 7 points in the body.
Supposedly the crystal moves if it the point is open and flowing freely. If the crystal doesn't move, then it needs re-energized, and the sweeping motions over the body, moves the energy in, and then she smoothed it over the body.
She isn't crazy... Although those who know her, think she is at times. We call it her voodoo magic. = )
The boys thought it was weird but neat at the same time. It seemed to work.

Hoxie doesn't wrestle you all. And if she did cast a spell, I don't think it would be against you all!! = )

She has her secrets... I am not at liberty to release those on a public message board.

If she's like most spiritualists her secrets or at least her services can be bought for the right amount of money.

if this is some kind of religion could it be said that the use of it before a match would be like a prayer before a footballl game, if so could this fall under the seperation of state and church? not that it matters to me i was just wondering.

I don’t bye into this Voodoo-Witchcraft BS… I still think there is something in the water out there. Norton sneaked into town and stole one point worth of this magical potion. The way I calculate it, that’s close to about 5 gallons of heavy weight nectar. And by the way where is the Tattoo Parlor in Hoxie? I couldn’t find it the last time I visited.

sounds like one of my wack-job aunts. I hurt my knee real bad one time and she said TAKE THE PAIN AWAY...while swaying her hands over my knee. My dad had a back ache she told him to sit up right, cup his stuff and pull up as hard as he can and his back ache would go away..well yea, because then the pain is in your sac.

Not sure where the boys got their tattoos. I didn't go to high school there. My husband went to school there.
She doesn't ask for money from the boys. She does it for free... And if you knew anything about what went on in Hoxie, you wouldn't be making the statements you have been.Hoxie is a very close knit town, where everyone knows everyone and people help other people.
It has nothing to do with religion either...
It's amazing how many of ya'll take something I wrote so seriously.. The witchcraft and voodoo thing was a joke!! WOW, lighten up..

Its easy to believe almost anything about those western towns where people have to spend the whole winter in a dugout heated by buffalo chips.... (Atwood buffalo chips, of course.) whoa---- put down the war lance I was just kidding!!!

Obviously you don’t pay a lot of attention to the forum and it’s content… these are light comments. I’ve always been a big fan of Coach Bakers and Hoxie wrestling. Especially our (Manhattan’s) #1 child prodigy Matt Gilland. But I’m kind of partial to red heads. And If Hoxie doesn’t wrestle us why did we tie for the team championship at Beloit this year and lost the trophy on a coin flip?

I would say you lost the trophy on a flip because Beloit was CHEAP.
