There is a very serious fight (or there was) at Michigan State on this issue with Coach Minkel not releasing one of his wrestlers (can't think of the name) but I think it was in bad taste as the kid had graduated and the college didn't offer what he was wanting to pursue for a masters. But then again, you can just walk away for a year an try to play catch up instead of all of the middle junk involved.
