Now, I know it's not really my style to jump into topics and post numerous times, but I figured I'd break from my usually withdrawn status on this one...(and yes, I know the topic is Cody Bell.)
If everyone who spoke English was able to get an A in college English, then why would we need grades? I do believe that if a person had grown up speaking the language and had an average grasp of the language, then they should get a "C". For isn't a "C" a grade of "average" by definition? If a student "pulls a B," that means they have an above average grasp of the language, no?
But I digress. Mr. Gaither, this isn't me trying to be a thorn in your side, I assure you. We've all been D to the **banned**s every once in awhile, it's okay. I think what we have here is a matter of you being Old School and rocknraider being just plain lazy. Back in MY day a kid would WORK for his education...dang kids with their Nintendos and their LeBrons...
