What weight do you think will be tougher next year 215 or 275? And who do you think will contend for both weights at state?

del torro and kimzey will compete for 275 title, unless prairie view goes back to four-A next year which is likely.

The Northwest Kansas League was young at 215 and 275 this year and these young men showed good progress as the season went along. So don't be surprised to see NWKL kids in the mix. Also look for Michael Sprigg of Norton - as Norton could return to 3-2-1A next year.

Actually, if the football classes are to be believed, it is possible that DelToro/Kimzey match-up would be the for 4A title not the 3-2-1A. If I read that corerctly, Royal Valley jumps to 4A in football next season.

They do the wrestling classifications differently then they do the football. For football they count the bottom three grades and for wrestling and basketball they count the top three grades. That list will come out later.

Right, but the bottom three grades this year (which is what next year's football districts are based on) are the top three next year (which is what everything else is). Aren't we -- more or less -- talking about the same set of numbers?

I went to school at Royal Valley last year and I was talking to my old wrestling coach and he said we would possibly be 4A in football and 3A in wrestling. Don't take my word for it, but that is what I heard. As far as state title next year I think Del Toro will win it! The kid works his tail off and keeps wanting to learn more. He has only been wrestling for two years, didn't even know anything about wrestling and then took third this year. Impressive!

Gang Green; Well we sort of are talking about the same numbers but there are so many combinations of schools going up and down each year in enrollment that the combinations are endless. The hardest thing to predict is statewide where teams will fall that are on the line between classes. When I was at Schlagle, we stayed in 6A in football all the time I was there (12 years) and went up and down in wrestling five times. It is difficult to say each year
