Nigel, In your first response in the thread you said " if you watched wrestling, you would know you just can't start at some random weight because of the way matches are asigned based on first availibility" If I watched wrestling? I watched Abilene crown their first state champ(Rod Olsen) in 1966. I remember his coach, Bob Holeman and what a wonderful caring person he was. My point is I have watched wrestling and Abilene wrestling. I've watched you wrestle.
Back to the real issue, why can't you put weights in random order. Wrestlers and coaches are not stupid. If 275 were matches 101-108 and 103 lb had matches 105-113, I think kids are smart enough to figure out when their match is and be able to get to the correct mat.
Just because we have done it one way since the beginning of time, doesn't mean there may not be a better way of doing it. All I'm asking, is for everyone including coaches and KSHAA to think about it and decide if ther might be a better way to keep more fans until the end. If there is not a better way, I can go along with it.
If the 4A was set up for an Abilene wrestler and a Columbus wrestler to wrestle last and the team championship was on the line, would we have had more people in the stands at the end of the tournament?
