Who are the sleepers in this bracket? My sleeper is Joe Ztlanik from Rossville. In my opinion he is just as good as these other guys.

Sprigg will win this weight. The only reason he lost to Honas is because Sprigg was trying to be the aggressor, since Honas was doing absolutely nothing in OT and he got a little too aggressive. Sprigg shot about 3 times in the span of 30 seconds, while Honas did nothing, but walk around and try to tie up so he could get to double OT, because he scored first and he knew he could get up, if he picked bottom. He should have been called for stalling and Sprigg should have won by a point, but no official was brave enough to decide a match by calling stalling. This show of officiating cowardice will just lead to more stalling and a boring HWT championship match.

As a former heavyweight, I would be PO'ed if a ref decided a heavyweight match by calling stalling, especially in an important match like a regional final. Stalling is a way of life in the heavyweight department. Yeah, it's boring to watch, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
I agree though, Zlatnik is a very good sleeper pick.

Sprigg should win state he wrestled good and was alot more agressive than Honas. I really would not rule Muir out of pulling an upset win over Sprigg or Honas either.

True, my brother Chris has wrestled quite a few weaker opponents this year. I must say on his behalf that since he started wrestling his freshman year i have seen him pull off some amazing wins. My brother is an exciting kid to watch though. So far he's been undefeated so it'll be interesting to see how he fares at state. It all depends on how he wrestles and if he mentally shows up. He could do anything from win state to going 0-2 depending on his focus. I do want to give props to everyone from the P-regional. I feel that the Heavyweight Division will be a good one to watch for at State.

Sorry to say but i think Eberwein is going to go down this weekend. He is good but not that good. I heard that Zlatnik should have beat him at Regionals and in the Semi's was losing to an ACCHS kid. Not for sure on that topic though. Look for Zlatnik to do some impressive things this weekend.

I watched Eberwein this weekend and he got put on his back a lot, but no one could hold him there. He is an exciting wrestler to watch, but I think that Sprigg and Honas will be able to keep him on his back this weekend.

I think Eberwein has a good chance at making the finals. He looked pretty good throughou the year. Oh, I believe that Eberwein defeated Zlatnik 2 times this year, once by injury default, and the second by a pin. I'm putting my money on Eberwein making the finals...but he may not win it, who knows, but he sure has a better chance then Zlatnik does.

Whoever wins fifth will be the one of the two who lost the first meeting of the tourney.

just_a_fan your pretty much right on but i believe muir is a man on a mission and he looked incredibly agile and quick at regionals, better than i have ever seen him wrestle (did anyone else besides myslef notice this?) i belive he will place higher than 5th and may even have a good shot at beating honas to get into the finals

4lifewrestling who are you? Were you at Rock Creek this weekend? Have you ever seen a kid on his back in a match and get off then win the match later by five points or by pin? If you haven't than you don't watch wrestling very much! I never said that Chris would win state, so don't say he can't. No one has found a way to bet him yet so don't count him out!

I don't see why eveybody has Muir from Stockton in the top 6. I wouldn't be suprised if he lost his first round match
