Mr. Srlarson,

I think that this post you have just made is not only incorrect, but just plain irresponsible. You seem to be making accusations that just dont make sense. For example, I would like to know just exactly what dates are incorrect in the Bible. Seriously, I mean this, I would like to know. I am not being sarcastic.

Ill now address your three points.

1) It is philosophically impossible to believe in a religion without thinking that you are right. Even if one were to say, I am a Christian but I accept other religions, then they would still in their mind think that they were correct, otherwise they would believe something else. They are only accepting so as not to look unaccepting. (I know unaccepting isn't a word, but you realize what I mean.)
2) This one is ridiculous. By the same logic where did the Universe come from? The laws of thermodynamics only apply to things within the Universe, so it would seem logical to me that if God exists, he would be outside the Universe, thus not abiding by those laws. However, the Big Bang theory contends that something truly came out of nothing. I wont really get into that any further unless you reply and ask for my opinion.
3) This has an element of truth to it, but if that is the way all religions sprang up, then by the same definition that is how all science sprang up- the need to know more. Just because this is a natural human inclination (to search for truth) doesnt make it incorrect.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this, and hopefully you would not think that I am one of those close minded Christians.

Question: By calling someone closed minded, havent you closed your mind on that type of person, i.e. arent you asserting your superiority?
