I think Jr High wrestling is a very important feeder program for the high school. It sets the high school program up and gets kids that would normally be left out.
I agree with Scooby. In the Wichita area we have the Pioneer League (middle school), which many of the best high school wrestlers from this area have wrestled in. If you have a lack of coaches, it is the responsibility of the parents/fans, in that district, to make sure pressure is brought to bare on the AD and or elected officials to fix it. The same is true when finding or keeping qualified coaches. You must be vocal! As we know, most ADs have a ******ball background and some might be willing to let our sport wither on the vine.
