..we had 2 snow days last week, monday and tuesday, couldnt practice with 300 people in the gym and practice room, as the school was a designated storm shelter...

I know we were told if there is no school then no practice. Means you were on your own to work out and cut weight.

Might have been a school rule. Several schools have that rule, but I do not believe it is a state rule.

In the past, Manhattan had practice on snow days. I may have beaten Prant in a wrestle-off on a snow day....

It is a rule that if class is cancelled practice cannot be made mandatory. Most coaches still practice in some form or another, just can't legally require it.
