I agree with the fact that some teams do not have the same strength of schedule as others. But records have to count for something, or else why keep them!
Also most times seeding meetings go in this order:
1. head to head
2. Common opponent(although at times this is overlooked)
3. State Placing
4. State Qual.
5. Record vs. acknowledged strong opponents

My question is a wrestler moving up a weight at times hurts them, when we all know that many kids never wrestle in the same weight class more than once. WHy does State placement have the "same weight" clause?
My State Champ is just as tough if not tougher at 145 than he was at 130 last year. Does this mean that at Regionals, a kid with only one loss(same # of losses, fewer wins)should get placed ahead of him if he is at the same weight that he was at last year and is a State placer?
Do I question the strength of his schedule! Many coaches balk at the idea of some one telling them their competetion is soft!
