Regarding more than one Crawford, yes, I thought that it was like many other streets that run for awhile, stops, starts again, kind of like Meridian and others. Again, Bighead made comment to me that he understood my comments. Why did I respond like I did, simple, because people come on and say negative things, and have tried in the past to say negative things regarding my son and Dante not going to South, when there are valid reasons why they don't go there. That discussion has come up many times.

I don't usually comment on ridiculous posts, but to bring someone's faith into a discussion such as this is absolutely over the top. There is no reason or excuse to question Mike Furches' integrity or religious beliefs. So he made a mistake about the direction of a street/s. BIG DEAL!!!!!! There are more important issues in life than that!

This person did respond to the PM's and well, to say the least, we are all wasting our time. Goddard wins with BV Northwest and Maize and Derby real close behind them.

I think the Team Championship will be close between Goddard & Derby with South & Manhattan battling for 3rd & 4th. Goddard & Derby have been close to each other all season & this is the healthiest Derby has been. So I look for it to be even closer than the other few times the two teams have squared off. Both teams, I think will have their Champions, so it will be the will of the back side of the bracket that will determine the Championship. Then I think there will be a pile of teams close, South, Manhattan, Garden City, BVNW, Hutch. Good Luck to All the Teams.

Maize close? Their taking 5 kids!! No way! BVNW is taking 12, BUT were killed in their own tourn by Goddard and haven't wrestled anywhere near the competition that Goddard has. Derby will be the only real challange. You also predicted 4 state champs for Goddard. That would absolutely seal the deal in itself!

I believe one year Manhattan had four champs and took third as a team. Four champs doesn't "absolutely seal the deal" The backside is where the team title is won. When we(manhattan) won the title in 03-04 we had 0 champions, but 8 medalists.

You are correct, Pennywise. That year was in 1997, when Matt Bradshaw, Scott Coleman, A.J. Polansky and some fat clown won titles. Actually...I don't even think they placed that year. (But I'm not sure--I'm sure Sichard will correct me if I'm wrong.) I'm pretty sure they placed third the next year, with 3 champs, 1 second place and one third.

As far as team titles go, I think Hat Town's chances of placing was hurt by the loss of Wagner. Bummer.

Who was the fat clown? Matt Bradshaw and Scott Coleman were great wrestlers and I don't remember A.J. but I do remember 97 being a good year for Manhattan as it was for Wichita South. I beleive it will be a similar yr for both schools this yr.
