119-Livengood shows why he has the most wins in Kansas High School History;Perez and Altman are great kids, however, it was Livengood's weekend
125-another too much smack about the semis being the finals-Shumate and Ely are amazing wrestlers-the Tanenbaum-Almaguer semi was one of the best matches of the weekend- Tanenbaum gives such a great effort his matches are fun to watch-Almaguer has placed 2-3-2 at states. In the toughest weight class in 6A Ely shows he made the right decision
130-Bobby Hurd is one of the most athletic wrestlers out there-strong, tough, physical-if he can wrestle this summer and get improved technique he is D1 material
135-Traina wrestled smart throughout the whole tournament and did what he had to do;5A 135 was, however, the toughest weight
140-Hoshaw from Manhatten looked great in the finals; not a lot of depth in the weight class but good overall wrestling
145-Thibault dominated in the finals, however it was his semifinal with Sibala that was one of the best matches-Sibala is another wrestler that is entertaining to watch
152-Beard did an outstanding job-His technique is quite high level;just like his teammate Caldwell
160-Cotton is a stud-2 time state champion that has a good chance of winning 4;class act
171-Kellerman did a good job-again a 2-0 semifinal hang on win against Watkins allowed him to remain unbeaten-not flashy, just steady
189-Evans wrestle Metzger tough in a well balance final that had two tough kids going at it
215-Edison comes through-Born is a great athlete and if he could do some summer wrestling could have potential D1 capabilities (see Hurd)
275-Jessen did what he had to do; 5A 275 Payne is the stud of all the 275's
