Neil Erisman finally got the state title that eluded him, he let out a scream of triumph and clinched both fists as he ran into his coaches' arms to the large Desoto crowd that bussed in for the finals. They chanted O.S.U O.S.U.

It was pretty neat, but the Erismanites get more credit for the Chuck Norris style Erisman shirts with Erisman: A Real Amercian Hero (ala G.I. Joe) on the front, and Top Ten Neil Erisman list on the back. Did you know when Neil Erisman jumps into a body of water he doesn't get wet, the water gets Neil Erisman?

Congrats to Neil for finally getting the one that counts. Definitely a deserving guy. Good luck to him at OSU next year.

First, Neil is a wrestler in the most literal sense of the word. Second, he is a wonderful human being. His friends and the school obviously have a good sense of humor and loyalty for a leader every school would wish to have walking their halls.

I think that everything that Neil has endured has added to his character and will only be a strong asset in his future. BEST OF LUCK TO MR. ERISMAN!

And FINALLY my alma matter has a high school state champion.

OSU is getting a true champions heart with this kid. His training discipline, coachability, willingness to help the younger wrestlers and his faith in Christ has this young man destined to accomplish great things in his life. The entire Kansas wrestling community congratulates you Neil.

Now we look forward to the Junior Duals and Fargo!

On Neil:
I have only met this young man once. He coached my son's dual team for the Park Hill Duals. I had no idea who he was, he wouldn't have let on that he was anything other than someone helping out by coaching. What a modest pleasant person. I assumed he was much older by the mature responses he gave to the team members. I am sure his parents are proud of his wrestling accomplishments. If he never wrestled again I think they could be proud of the person they raised. I hope my son turns out to be as nice a person as Neil was on that day.

Congratulations on the wrestling accomplishment.

Great for you Neil, don't run out of gas on the way to Stillwater, if you do give me a call. I owe you one.

Never got to read the shirt, would look to weird staring at a high school kids shirt. Can someone post the top 10 just for the fun of it?

the name of this thread sounds like they would be on a double-bill with Buddy Holly and the Crickets.

Maybe you're not an ugly human, but a good looking ape.....with exceptional verbal skills.

1. Neil Erisman is 1/8th Cherokee. This has nothing to do with ancestry, the man ate an Indian.

2. Neil Erisman's tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Ever.

3. Neil Erisman does not sleep. He waits.

4. Neil Erisman is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs.

5. The chief export of Neil Erisman is pain.

6. Neil Erisman does not hunt because the word hunting implies the probability of failure. Neil Erisman goes killing.

7. Neil Erisman has two speeds: Walk and Kill.

8. If you can see Neil Erisman, he can see you. If you can't see Neil Erisman, you may be only seconds away from death.

9. Neil Erisman invented black. In fact, he invented the entire spectrum of visible light. Except pink. Tom Cruise invented pink.

10. When Neil Erisman jumps into a body of water, he doesn't get wet. The water gets Neil Erisman.

All Chuck Norris jokes with the names swapped out. Nothing Too Original - but still funny. One of our former wrestlers, Alex Mercer, made them. There are many more on a website he made - but many of those are inappropriate so I won't list the URL - but you can email if you want it.

Congrats Neil — even if you beat my ol' buddy Dustin Bartlett in the finals — you've worked hard for this and you've earned it.

As for the shirt — too funny!
