As a multiple wrestling season ticket holder for O.S.U., I am quite pleased with the addition of a former NCAA Champion to the line-up. If Mocco needs an attitude adjustment, I am certain Coach Smith will find the right individual for the job. The wrestling room has several high quality athletes in training (Daniel Cormier) who can assist in this regard.

This is the second highly sought after recruit (wrestler) to leave the Iowa program this year. Todd Meneely, a four-time Nebraska High School State Champion (99, 00, 01, 02), and now Mocco.

While Iowa did add a very talented heavyweight this past recruiting year, Matt Fields an Iowa product who likely will be more comfortable in the program, one can not say an individual who placed second (2nd) in the NCAA Tournament as a true Freshman and won the Tournament as a Sophomore will not be missed. The 2003-2004 final tournament team scores were, 1st - Oklahoma State, 123 1/2 and 2nd - Iowa, 82. A mere 41 1/2 points separated the two.
