Jeff:

KU has not competed since the SW Conference kickoff. The team is done practicing for the 1st semester. The team is currently trying to schedule another tournament on Jan 14th in Burlington Kansas. KU also hopes to be involved in a dual with KSU and NW Mo State later in January or early February. One new 235 or 275 wrestler Joe Zlatnick started practicing at the end of the 1st semester. Chris Jennings indicated on this forum that he might be joining the team in the 2nd semester. KU could be very good in 197, 235 and 275, if Joe, Chris and Mark Robinson all compete in the 2nd semester. A couple of lighter weight freshman Andrew Roulin and Josh Ramirez have been good dedicated additions to the team. Jacob McKee, Alex Lindsey and Travis Short are good wrestlers for KU in the middle weights. Nathan Hartshorne the team president also wrestles at I believe 184. Unfortunately Brandon Numrich who has a very good NCWA wrestler for KU graduated at semester and will not compete for the team in the 2nd semester.

I believe there might be one or two other good wrestlers who might be joining the team in the 2nd semester. Perhaps Klint Deere, Shane Miller or Nathan Hartshorne the team coaches can fill in or correct anything that I have posted here if they see this topic. I think KU is making some good progress this year with the additional coaching help from Klint Deere and Shane Miller to help team president Nathan Hartshorne.

I don't know about KSU but it looks like they did pretty good at the SW conference kickoff. I think they have a good chance to place pretty high as a team at nationals this year. Maybe Mark Miller or someone else affiliated with the KSU team can give us an update on their team.
