I wish they sold tickets in advance with assigned seats so the seat saving wouldn't be an issue. Last year we went to state and I was pregnant. I tried to sit with my daughter in several areas and was constantly thrown out. I finally ended up in tears. This year, when my son qualified for state, all I could think about was how awful of an experience I had with getting a seat the previous year. I almost dreaded going to state as I feared going through that again. Luckily we had some people in our group that were able to arrive early and save seats for me and my two children as well as other members of our club. It is nice to sit together with the club, but I think that the assignment of seats would settle the rudeness of people, the hurt feelings, and the flared tempers.
