I loved what Nebraska did this year. You had teams all over the map for regionals. I believe they tried to separate the top 10 to spread out over 4 regionals, then they somewhat did geography. It lead to some great upsets in the regionals and even a more crazy state tournament that saw a 2x Champion and UNL signee defeated in the quarters. Love it!

i believe former UNO coach Higdon is in charge of hs wrestling in Nebraska,,,,,love their format of a 3 day event as well....granted they work out of a smaller base of kids as well but very progresive thinking......

I think Nebraska is ahead of KS in their organization truly thinking of issues that are barriers for parents, spectators and wrestlers....slotted kid tourneys, weeknight tournaments, gotta love em....

that being said, i think Kansas wrestlers are better skilled overall, but i think we need not re-invent the wheel, just borrow from our neighbors a bit to help our sport out overall
