If you're a high school coach (or associated with a high school team) and you steal kids that have been developed by other teams/clubs, does this make you a good coach, a good recruiter or just a (for lack of a better clean word) snake? Next, if you do all of this recruiting and can't be ranked any higher than say 4th or 5th does that make you really bad at being a snake? Discuss.

Good question. Also are you a good high school coach if all your kids were developed by the kids club coaches? How hard is it to coach kids showing up as freshman ready to win state. The truer test of a good coach is who is turning kids that never wrestled before high school into state medalists.

You are a good high school coach if those club coaches wrestled for you in high school then put it back into the kids club

The "steal kids thing"... some kids don't need stolen away to another school be "recruiting". The tougher schedules of a team down the road may be more exciting for a young individuals wanting to be seen by college coaches. I think you see a lot of guys transferring to other public schools just as much as some complain on private schools. I think KSHSAA is going to have some pushback on the passed motion of you have to up your class if your school is private and wins so many state team titles in a short span, but don't do that to teams that aren't private. (But that's another topic).
