He was called for a slam and was winning 12-1 at the time. I did not see the action. I just walked up when the guy was laying on the mat.

Couldn't agree more Coach Parks, make a lot of noise in Fargo. You and Russ should get us working together. Thanks again ! You and Dustin really stepped up and helped a lot of the guys out in Lincoln. We appreciate it, good for us and good for Kansas. Looking forward to some most excellent summer wrestling, Dan
Nice job done for Deshazer finishing up. The boy laying there did get up and finish the tournament, didn't he ?

Where was the kid from that got ejected from the tournament and was able to continue on the next day to all american status?

Deshazer was robbed if that is the case on the above posts.

Re: Brute/Adidas Nationals Results are Up - 04/05/05 11:28 PM

Aaron,

I am not sure what you are saying. Deshazer was called for an illegal slam by the Referee. The kid did not get up at the end of 1 minute and 30 second of injury time. Because a point was awarded Deshazer was DQ for that match. Disqualified and Ejected are two different things. I had the same thing happen to a wrestler before when he was winning by a large margin and lost on a DQ. All I told my wrestler was you should have cut the opponent when it is 8-0. It was a learning lesson for my guy. If a kid gets his bell rung he may not be able to continue in 1 minute and seconds. But he may be able continue the same day or the next day. I am a little confused on your post up above. Was there another kid that was ejected from the tournament and the next day he wrestled.

I was talking about another kid. Some of the coaches from Kansas were upset that a kid got tossed out of the tournament but was allowed to come back and compete on day 2 for AA status.

Deshazer was robbed in my book if a kid can get back up and wrestle.
