Toughest in the state? Many of the Finals matches here will be the state finals match
112-Madden/Richard
119-Owings/Michelbrink
125-Baker/Lloyd
135-Younkin/Farber
145-Kuhlman/Schamberger
Roe will win it at 152 im guessing
160-Nightengale could win it
171-Ross will win it
275-Sprigg and Brunswig

Don't know much about the Brunswig guy, but depending on where Onaga's hwt is placed, I like him making it to the finals. If he's on the same side as Sprigg, then Sprigg will probably win it.

You are kidding. While you may believe these matches to be tough, many of the weight classes are weaker than 6A, 5A, and 4A.

At 112 lbs.
Madden/Richard likely would not defeat Larry Perez (6A), or Seth Metzler (5A) or Brett Bahe (4A).

At 119 lbs.
Tommy Edgmon (6A),Tristan DeShazer (5A), Isaac Wall and Blake Fisher (4A)

I could continue with each weight classification and find opponents of greater or equal talent than those which you have mentioned with the exception of Sprigg.

I think Michael Malay meant toughest Regional weight classes in 3-2-1A not the entire state

I think Malay said what he meant- toughest regional. While there may be an individual out there in some of the other classes who would be better than the Wakeeney Regional champ, the overall depth of this regional made it the toughest to qualify- which makes it the toughest.

Wrong, period!

Check the results of the 6A Wichita Northwest Regional and the 5A Campus Regional.

Norton is an outstanding team by all accounts, however I do not believe they would have won in Campus. To be sure, the wrestling in 3A is year in and year out some of the toughest in the state, however to continue to claim this superiority, when it is so easily proven to be incorrect this year is nonsense.

The Trego Regional had tough teams as did Concordia, Colby, Campus, and Wichita Northwest.

The Trego Regional was far from the toughest in the state and the talk of the depth of talent is bunk. While this year MAY be an exception, the toughest wrestling likely is not in 3-2-1A.

Just curious but what 6A, 5A, 4A teams were at Newton and how did they do?

As a whole team...and other classes besides 3-2-1A did well at Newton...but as a whole team...who, in your opinion, is the the most well-rounded team of ALL classes?

In all reality, you can make an argument for a couple of teams. Abilene, Clay Center, KC Turner are some examples. Ark City isn't too bad either! Turner would have to be the front runner out of those. Norton is a great wrestling community and there is no disputing that, but it'd be interesting to see them head to head with Norton at a tournament. It's a shame they don't come out to Newton instead of the Bobcat. Then all doubts would be settled. But as it sets now we'll probably never know!
