Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/13/04 06:12 PM

Jeff Peterson, a wrestling legend in his own mind, now that he is a senior. (took that long?) Let's see mmmmm..... Where did Jeff Peterson place last year at state? I don't think he did. Presently ranked 6th. I guess we'll see when it comes time for the big dance. Good Luck YOU will need it.

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/13/04 08:29 PM

well i may not have placed last year but this year will be the true test of my greatness. so we'll just have to see. cause spaney lost to a guy from russel that isn't even ranked so that's pretty bad but tyler baker is a different case coming back from 125 lb class again gives him an advantage and thats what he's going to need

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 02:40 AM

Who the is Jeff Peterson? And I'm being very serious. Is this someone from Eastern Kansas who'll get pinned by Kurt Mann of Norton in his first match at State?

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 03:39 AM

Hey mike, i agree w/ you completely, also keep up the good work on the morning show w/ gabe, glad to know some people still care about wrestling.... back to the point of this topic...

Talk all you want now Jeff, i've got a feeling that Baker, Spaeny, Boone, Barth, & Calhoon will be waiting for you....they aren't running their mouth, their running for glory....you can talk now but as soon as you step into western kansas good luck, by the way, Spaeny got beat by David William, 2 time SQ..he missed state last year b/c he was in the toughest 119# regional last year, although that is debatable, and he did beat Spaeny now, they've wrestled many times in the past couple years and it's basically been very close all those times, and he's not a "nobody" he's one of the better 125's around, Spaeny isn't a push over, i'll bet he eats you for lunch, as for the people that beat you last year, it was Olson from Wakeeney (8-1 Loss for you) and Pyle from Sabetha (15-2 Loss for you), and you're good? Olson's a stud and i'm not sure about Pyle....you've got some work to do if you think you're gonna walk all over the 125lbs. 321A bracket....i'd stop talking now and start training.........

In case you want to track his path to nowhere here's his bracket last year....

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 03:49 AM

I dont see how u can sit there and say that u r going to walk all over everyone when there are about 10 guys right now that i could think of that would give u a match and would prolly end up beating u. I am not saying that i am the best. But Olson and i wrestled four times last year, and he beat me 3 out of the four. But the point difference was only two points max. The match was decided at the end usually. But.. u cant sit there and talk s*** on everyone when u havent wrestled them..ur out in the east where u dont see ne one until state.. so... good luck hahah

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 06:46 PM

kent* mann of norton and yes if you do run into him at state you will need to schedule an appointment to reconstruct your face... easterners just dont get it
Posted By: nothinghard

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 08:11 PM

well easterners may not get the same type of competition but when they make it to state and go 2and 2 and beats a guy that was ranked 5th in state than they have to be good. I beat Luke Thibualt at state last year so now i can't suck. So i know that i can at least get 3rd this year

Who is Jeff Peterson?
Posted By: Prant Garker

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 09:46 PM

Igel, Jeff Peterson is the frontrunner for this year's "Adam Venegas Talks About Himself Too Much" award. It's pretty much a lock. Heck, people disagree with him even more than they do with you.

And is this Kent Mann related to Male Kann, formerly of Norton? If so, does he routinely beat up on his older, fatter, weaker brother/(dad?)/cousin?
Posted By: Maniac

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 09:50 PM

I don't think anyone knows him, but look at the time of SOME of his many posts: 11:39, 3:29, 9:58, 3:11, 9:47, 10:18, 3:33, 11:41, 3:15, 3:37....hmmmm what school allows their students to be on the internet that much?
Posted By: bigkneepads#4

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 11:51 PM

as far as i know there is no relation, the male kann has a younger brother that wrestled for trego and norton but he's in college now. however i'm pretty sure that kent would go ahead and beat up on his completely unrelated brother from another mother, Male, if the two were to cross paths
Posted By: bigkneepads#4

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/14/04 11:52 PM

but then again jeff peterson would trump them both
Posted By: nothinghard

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/15/04 12:56 AM

well olson can't be that good. Because he didn't beat me by much last year. and i had to cut a lot of weight to get at 119 but this year i hardly have to cut. So, yeah thiubalt may have been from the west but i still beat him, in fact i had his head figured foured with him on his back in the third period

Posted By: mike fairleigh

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/15/04 01:56 AM

I'm thinking if Mann, Lloyd and baker are at 125, that pretty well leaves the battle for fourth place. Truly, I believe that anyone figuring on crashing that party might be a lemming among lions.

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/15/04 05:48 AM

Peterson you're about a year too late to be wrestling 125. If you wanted to see some real competition you should of cut to 125 last year..that bracket was insaine...you had to be completely crazy to want to wrestle in that weight class at state. here are just the top 4 guys you would of had to see, and they are all back this year.

(11) Levi Younkin - (29-2)
(10) Tait Weatherbee - (41-1)
(10) Dylan Loyd - (28-7)
(10) Tyler Baker - (31-4)

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/15/04 09:15 AM

But Prant that still did answer my question, who is he? I can't say I've ever even heard of him before he started posting here. Then I just looked it up, he didn't even place at state last year. Somewhere I think I saw him comparing himself to Ross Taplin, and I just figured he was joking. Well good luck to this young man anyway.

My old coach Mr. Christner, used to keep a quote on the wall of the wrestling room it read something like, "You are never really good until you do something to prove it, and when you really are good you won't have to tell anyone... they will tell you"

Esterl impressed me last year, he wrestled like a senior instead of the underclassman that he was. Plus he already gave Nothern all he could handle by taking him to OT at the Clay tourney this year.

Was not going to respond to this but can not sit tight anymore. Must agree with Bigkneepads #4 in that the east just has not figured it out yet (VERY slow learners). As far as Silver Lake goes they are always ranked during the year-however when state is over they arent. At 125 Baker, Lloyd, Barth and several others will hammer you Jeff so don't open mouth-you are inserting foot. I am reminded of a wrestler last year (I will not give a name) that was bragging about how he was going to place since he won his regional. You guessed it-wrestled 4th place from NW regional and got hammered and went on to lose his next match too.

Re: 321A best of the best at 125 - 12/18/04 02:34 AM

I really can't believe that the 321 guys are talking trash like the big city guys do. I would think if Mr. Phillips needed any confirmation concerning the question of what happens when no
control is excercised over a conversation, this episode should go a long way toward establishing
it. There are bounds of common courtesy--- The KSHAA organizes events by which one can prove his prowess on the mat. This kind of verbal sewage going back and forth means nothing, except to show the poor quality of sportsmanship and lack of respect that seem to be rampant in certain areas. One thing that I do notice--- the young men that have been at or near the top of their respective divisions already are minding their own business and quietly honing their skills. That speaks volumes about where the true class of 321 lies.

Being a teenager doesn't excuse you from being somewhat responsible in your actions. Part of being a teenager is learning to grow up so that when you hit your college age and beyond you know how to act.

Listen, I don't mean to be a jerk, but I have been around wrestling a long long time. If I was Jeff Peterson, I would be a pissed off dude putting a target on me like that. First of all, 98% of the wrestling world has not even heard of him. Secondly, if he worked hard this summer to be a silent champion, somebody messed that up.
But I have never heard of him. I have never seen him on the freestyle scene, I have never seen him on the greco scene, and I haver never seen him on the collegiate scene. JEFF PETERSON, WHO THE HECK IS JEFF PETERSON! The Peterson is a great move off the bottom, but I don't believe he invented it.
If Zeleski, Douglass, Smith, etc. are not talking about him, then who is he. Is Bickley, Renfro, Whiles even talking about this cat. Do they want him????? JEFF Peterson, might be a nice guy, but to put yourself, or let your friends put you on here as the next Cael Sanderson, Pat Smith, Dan Gable, Zack Roberson, Dusty Spaulding, Eric Guerro, and the list goes on. Well, stop, become that, then we will talk about you. Until then, can somebody send me a profile on Jeff Peterson, his wins, his losses, is background. So me and the rest of the Kansas wrestling world can know who the heck he is?

my philosophy....you have 2 opponets, the one standing across the line from you, and the official, i'm not talking smack about officals,(although you'd like to smack them sometimes regardless) just dont plan on calls going your way during a match. thats been my expereince. its just a fact of life. so learn to deal.

as far as 321-a 125 goes; loyd and baker in the finals..at regionals and at state. any takers?

Hey im not much of a talker, but peterson your all talk. Personaly i dont even think you will place at state. You think you will beat: baker, lloyd, spany, esterl, bechtel, mann, york, olson, calhoon?????????? your not even ranked.
1.Baker 2.Lloyd 3.Esterl 4.Bechtel 5.Spaney 6.Mann
i dont see a Jeff Peterson in there I dont think you would of even placed at the MCL tourn.
it went Mann,York,Olson, Calhoon all of who will beat you if they make it out of the toughest regional
