WANTED: Cauliflower Ears!

I do wish that I had cauliflower ears. It is such a symbol of those who have been through the battles. Does anyone know how to create cauliflower without enduring the battles?

Lay on side.

With a trustworthy partner, possibly a friend, have them place their palm over your ear lobe.

After doing so, have your partner vigourously rub his hand back, forth, up, down and in circular fashions.

If skin breaks the same time the cartilege does (which causes the fat earage) wash, rinse, then repeat the vigourous rubbing section once to infinity times again.

I suppose the "infinity and beyond" route would be the ticket. In Vegas, it was so neat seeing 80 year-old guys with a case of the flower.

And there were even several of the gals that had flower too.

I got the rock on my ear from lots of battles in the wrestling room. I like it. Makes me look tougher than i really am.

I never got them because even 40 years ago when I hung out in the wrestling room when my dad coached he made me wear headgear all the time. Like Randy, I wish I had them, but I don't want them THAT bad!

I'm glad I only have it a little. I had surgery to get the rest to go away. I adhere to the Steve Mocco philosophy of cauliflower ear. I think it's retarded to want it. You're all crazy.

I once asked a Korean coach how a group of cadet age wrestlers from his country had such beat up ears. I was told that inorder to look like wrestlers they take books and bang their ears until the swelling occurs.

Then, of course, you have something to read while getting drained at the local clinic.

...why on earth would you want a puckered hemmoridic monkey butt on the side of your head? you'll only live to regret it later, once formed its incredibly difficult to correct with surgery.

I've never been taken down by an ear. If I had a choice between big arms and veggi ear, I'll go with the big arms. Any body know where I can pick a pair up at?

There were some pretty impressive ears in LV. I don't think I'd wish for a pair though. I remember in high school Coach Hemmerling taking me to the ER and having the gunk sucked out with a syringe. Not fun. They probably have better ways now though. I used to be kind of sensitive about the ears but over the years I've learned to have some fun with them. When I was a Captain with the FD we used to play a little game with the new rookies. On their first day one of the senior FFs would tell them, "When you meet the Captain, whatever you do, don't stare at his ears. They were burned in a fire and he's pretty sensitive about them." Of course then they couldn't help but check out the ears. When I caught them staring I'd pretend to be pretty upset. The look on their faces was priceless! Hey, we had to do something for fun between calls. rh

I like my cawly-flawah eahs. Whenever I'm at a party, someone is always like "oh hey, you have cauliflower ears. Where did you wrestle?" And then we can play the old, "Do you know..." game about former wrestlers from his/her hometown.

And Jhris' mom thinks it's sexy.

How about a tattoo in the ear? I would have to decide whether to get a straight black Tribal somethingorother or get a colorful somethingorother. I would have to be careful about colors and a possible clash with shirts on my wardrobe. Thanks for noticing Martialartswrestler.

Does anyone know who sells The old school Head gear with the wrestling mat pad on the outside an metal on the inside i lost mine at the circle tourn. I think i threw them away for wrestling like crap

Hey Randy, you go to get that tatoo let me know, I have some more work I am wanting to get done, I can watch the artist work on your ear and if they are any good have them finish up some of the work I need. You know I don't think I have ever seen a tatoo in or on the ear, every place else it seems but not there. It could be the first. I also like Martial's idea, ear ring, single ear the whole bit. Let me be the first to recommend a photo of Jhris for the tatoo, I've never met him but he seems worthy of a tatoo in the ear from what all I have read on the forum. Now that would really be wacked. I've even been thinking of getting "wraslin rooles" on top of my new bald head.

Randy, I always wanted a bunch of grapes tattooed on my chest so when I’m a lot older, there would be these really cool raisins to look at in mirror. A portrait of Juby would be cool he’s got that manly wrestler look about him. I even thought about one of Ned but I don't have enough body for that one! Think Coach Baker could handle that?

I think that Cauilflower ear is very sexy!! Most boys have a lil bit of it...but when ur ear is pretty like Travis Phippen from Basehor Linwood you can say you have a good Cauilflower ear!!!

I don't know any quick fixes to obtain some perty ears. I've been working on mine for the last 3 years. The most progress I've made has been this year with Spencer Burns getting his kicks off elbowing me in the side of the head after taking me down. While these may be the battles your talking about avoiding, tuff up you pansy, no pain, no ear.

I saw a shirt that said "GOT EAR?" and had a back head view of a wrestler with chisled shoulder and big neck and messed up ears...funny stuff, I'll have to see if I can find a pic of it online.

I don't know about cauliflower ears...and I agree with Coach Lane's sick steve statement, but there was a guy at UCO that was a 4x National qualifier who had what I dubbed "Broccoli Nose" looked like he had been busted up a bit much...if I find a pic of him I'll post it.

C-Ears are a great way to indentify you as a wrestler, but it hurts like holy heck when it first starts to swell and it looks like a big leach is hanging onto your ear. And later in life you can absolutely NOT wear ear bud headphones!!! Even sunglasses fit crooked...and I had a lady that was cutting my hair nearly shave my ear right off because she didn't hold my ear out of the way. Ok my not "right off" but she sure left a cut behind my ear with one of those electric safety razors. I would never have surgury to change them though.

Well personally i like female wrestlers with cauliflower ear. And those crazy Koreans are at it again. Bangin books against there ears.

Cauliflower ears are the gift that keeps on giving. Still slowly oozing out and flaking up long after your mat days are finished. Mine are hanging in there after 20 years.

mine is jus a little ball in the inside i like it cuz it idetifies me as a wrestler but i don't like it cuz the yellow ear juice gets stuck in there and thats jus gross
