You Know You're a Wrestler When.............


cauliflower isn't a vegetable.

you can't wait for Christmas...because you'll get 2 pounds.

shoving cotton in your nose seems normal.

you wonder how much hair weighs.

the coach asks you to do 50 pushups and you think "that's it?"

you see someone bend over and you imagine how easy it would be to put them in a cradle.

you won't even take a nap on your back.

you won't lock your hands when hugging your girlfriend.

your coach tells you "cut him" and a knife doesn't cross your mind.

you see someone lying on their back and you feel the urge to slap the ground beside them.

Gyms look weird without mats on the floor.

you'll know exactly how much weight you will lose when you take off your shoes.

you have a black eye but don't remember how it might have happened.

you "daydream" about meeting the captain of the basketball team on the mat.

asics, cliff keen, and brute are more familiar to you than nike or reebok.

You tape your shoe laces before the Prom.

You have to go to the bathroom before weigh-ins, and guys high-five you because of it.

You know you are a BAD wrestler when you know how many lights and ceiling tiles are in every gym near your home town.

how about this one...

on thanksgiving ur thankful if u get to eat a half slice of turkey and maybe a bite of pumpkin pie

XD I was laughing so hard when I read both of these lists. And I did it at school. I had to explain it to some people but hey, they're basketball players, what do you expect?

Here's my own:
You know you're a wrestler when your parents try to convince you not to wrestle and you look at them and say " Would you rather me beat up on (insert brother or sister's name here) or some body my own size?"
or
You know you're a wrestler when your parents force you to eat on Thanksgiving and yet you come back to practice weighing less that you left.
(True story. I came back weighing 5 pounds less)

Central Kansas is better known around this area. It's a freestyle team in Derby with guys from all around the area.

when you take a deuce at night and you have to tell all your wrestling buddies about it the next morn and they are excited to hear it.

Or while cutting weight taking a #1 longer than 3 seconds and you're proud of your accomplishment

you know... when you walk into a room where a young man is naked, standing on his head, next to a scale and it never once crosses your mind to ask "WHY?"

You turn on the A.C. and open windows during the winter to shiver the weight off in your sleep.

You go for a run in -8 wind chill to sweat off that extra pound before weigh in.

My dad came up with this one... during christmas instead of singin all i want for x-mas is my 2 front teeth, you sing all i want for x-mas is my 2 pound allowance

how about these...

...you run..and run.. and run...and your not being chased.

...the stationary bike is the most used piece of furniture in your living room.

...your mat shoes are the most comfortable pair of shoes you own.

... or you mention the word "singlet", and the girl next to you confuses it with "chicklet" and asks you for a piece of gum.

...not everyone has heard infamous 5 pound orange.

..when you talk about descibing mat burns they say "who is Matt Burns?"

..."funk" is something that grows on your skin

...you use "bactroban" and "loprox" more than you use your acne medicine

...basket-ball sounds like something you would make in home-ec class.

you know you are a wrestler when you relize that ice cubes are delicious

...when some one mentions the word "hoops" you think of the "tucan" on the box of cereal.
