I thought the young wipper snapper desurved his on thred. Now as to whose redneks and whose not, just be careful about talkin about rednecks, Nascar and the like if you don't know the details. I've seen enuff wraslin down towards Hickory and Bristol to know rubbin is racin and be careful whose you rub the wrong way or racin turns to wraslin.

Now bring out the Red Man, wrap it in juicy fruit, and top er off with a PBR (as Sir Randy Calls is) and lets get them motors going cause I think Ricky Robby has been watchin too much television. Just to let you know your welcome though, gotcha on thred now.

Boy howdy, only 3 more days until the release of my documentary Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Everyone needs to buy this DVD and wrap it up and put it under their tree and share it with all of their loved ones, I know I will.

Congrats to Ricky Bobby on being named the ESPN Magazine's Sports Figure of the Year, and garnishing the cover of this months issue.

Thanks, it took me a while to finally get on that cover and to think I got my start on Truck Trader.

At the Central Heights Vikings Christmas party we viewed Talledega Nights! What an inspiration that Ricky Bobby is!!

... and being all jacked up on Mt. Dew is quite a way to go through life!!! (credits to Texas Ranger)

That's what I'm talking about! Thanks for showing your love to me, Ricky Bobby, by watching my show. What did you serve at you bountiful feast? I'm guessing a party platter from the always delicious Taco Bell.

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 12/21/06 07:48 PM

... actually, it was Pizza Hut! And this morning at practice, the athletes, while a bit lethargic from their gluttony, were in high spirits quoting their favorite lessons in life ... learned from your film!

I think "Shake and Bake" will become our new chant during breakdowns!

Your proof reading is outstanding.

As we both know the UCO press release should have stated Wichita South High School.

Welcome back, Ricky. You have not posted for three months. You have not posted since I suggested three months ago that you might actually be Gutwrench1 returning to our forum. I hope that your posting absence was due to your busy race car schedule and did not have anything to do with my wild guess that you might be Gutwrench1.

I am happy to see that you are back posting but be careful because it looks like in your first return post in three months that you managed to upset the moderator of the College forum where you made your return post.

You better watch it Husker Fan cause I'll come at you like a spider monkey if you keep calling me that Missouri loving Gutwrench1. Sorry, it took me so long to reply to your post. By the way when is Dr. Tommy Osborne gonna fire Billy Callahan and hire Turner Gill?

Your warning does not concern me, Ricky Bobby. I have hired Jean Girard for protection from you. I am convinced you are Gutwrench1.

Actually I just last week went over your Gutwrench1 thread for those who want to become state champions. It was an excellent thread. I had my son read it and he is getting more out of it as a junior than he did as a freshman. He really liked that part about assessing your strengths and weaknesses in the different categories (power, explosiveness, quickness, conditioning, ability to create, recognize, and exploit scoring opportunities, and match management).

You did have some very good observations and threads as gutwrench1. I never thought you were a Missouri loving fan. I knew you were actually a Kansas loving fan and you were trying in your own way to motivate Kansas wrestlers to a higher level of wrestling. So now carrying on as Ricky Bobby I hope you will continue to work in that way to help Kansas wrestlers raise their game. Do it with insight and your humor but hopefully you can find a way to leave out the venom.

Folks he has returned. Gutwrench1 lives on in Ricky Bobby. I am pretty convinced of it. Enjoy but beware.

By the way I do think Callahan will be let go at the end of the season. Possible replacements are Turner Gill, Tommie Frazier, and Bo Pellini. I thought it was ridiculous to let Solich go in the middle of a winning season but I also thought they should have replaced him with Pellini after they let Solich go.

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 11/09/07 12:25 PM

I hear Bo is going to be the new head coach and Stoops and Rathman are his coordinators!
Posted By: Husker Fan

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 11/09/07 03:42 PM

Randy:

I would be happy if they brought Pellini back as head coach.

My question to you though is: Is gutwrench1 back as Ricky Bobby?
I think it is him. Are we ready for the return of the old gutwrench1? Remember is final post?

Madl and Hurla catch on and next thing we know is there's a pretty good case of KS red arse a goin'. That sawed-off, gutsy little Hurla and that Bowen boy done made a liar out of me on this public forum an humiliated me. But, that ain't the half of it. As I was leaving the gym, some KS hs coach, maybe from one of them catholic schools with a mad-on spots me sneakin' out with them poor folks from Misery. He rabbit punches me behind my ear and it felt like he had a rock in his hand or a sock o'nickles and another one gives me a froggie in the thigh. Now, I'm have dizzy spells and can't pronounce my r's and I sound just like Elmer Fud. I kept tellin the docto and the police that I was mugged at a westlin match......by god someone just pulled up the trailor house with what looks like a live bear, a pink tutu and a video camera. Looks like it's some of them serious boys from ks has found me. I gotta make a run for it but i got a limp from the froggie. If you miss gutstench, you can find me with a real mad on over on the misery.com board.

Truly yours,

Gutwrench1

I think gutwrench1 needs to show up tonite at the Fort Hays State and Stanford dual to wrestle that bear or whatever he said he was going to wrestle in that pink tutu.

I will be there tonite, Ricky Bobby. You will recognize me as the handsome 56 year old who all the pretty ladies flock around and I will recognize you dressed in your pink tutu.

Randy, you are probably right.

Ricky, I will stop my wild speculations that you are the return of gutwrench1. Have fun posting, Ricky.

Yeah, I understand you had a man-crush on gutwrench1, but now that he's gone you have to vent your pent up man-crush on me. I get it, that's cool by R.B. Wanna go play with some Matchbox Cars some time just give me a holler.

Gosh darnit, Ricky. You are going to make me go watch that stupid movie of yours again for the fifth or sixth time. I am losing count. Now that you and I have got this thing going, I am going to have to learn how to talk to you so I got to watch it again. I want you to know though that I don't have any man-crush on you or that gutwrench1 character. You will never catch me walking hand and hand with some man like you did with my new friend Jean Girard when you two guys went tip toeing thru the garden. That wasn't cool.

How's this for an idea? We could watch Highlander and get totally jacked up on Mt. Dew.

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 11/11/07 12:45 PM

A serious Question Ricky Bobby, as I know you are one of the top authorities in the world on the subject. Could you please give me a breakdown on all of the Mt. Dew drinks and your thoughts on them, from the extreme to diet and all of the others? I need some questions answered. Also a thought on the generic brands or off brands that have ripped off the Mt. Dew, your thoughts on them and the general position the consumer should take on these soft drinks?

Oh yea, shake and bake baby.

Oh yes, one last thing, for those wondering how this may be an appropriate wrestling related post: It is a known fact that Mt. Dew is the drink of choice among wrestlers. Donny Pritzlaff for example is on record as saying that he drinks a two liter of regular Mt. Dew after every practice and it is the one thing he can't do without in his grocery stock at home.

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 01/23/09 04:00 PM

Ricky:

I decided I should not be highjacking that other topic in the high school forum with my pointing out certain similarities in your posting style and that Misery (who else used that term to describe Missouri?) lovin gutwrench1? So I am taking my question back to the appropriate forum and topic:

Okay Ricky I won't accuse you of being gutwrench1 anymore. But now I got to ask are you really Will Ferrell? Do you look like the guy that windjammer shows shooting that basketball in his post above?

One other question besides your race car racing honors are you a member of the wrestling hall of fame?

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 02/12/09 01:44 PM

Ricky Bobby,

What in the world is going on? You are almost becoming a full time poster on this wrestling forum. You have almost 70 posts in 2009 already. The NASCAR season is kicking off this week with the Daytona 500 and here you are spending most of your time on this forum.

I got people telling me that they also are starting to wonder if you are gutwrench1 returning under another name or even another famous poster on our forums who has some good area knowledge of Wichita and Oklahoma high school wrestling due to your reporting style of events from that area in recent weeks.

I am starting to become a real fan of yours now more as a Kansas high school wrestling expert than as a NASCAR race car driver. You started out posting with humorous Ricky Bobby type posts but now you are becoming a pretty serious high school wrestling poster with some insightful wrestling posts. You continue to surprise me with your change of directions in your posting.

We will miss seeing you at Daytona this year though.
Posted By: Ricky Bobby

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 02/13/09 10:03 PM

I'll be at Daytona for the prerace concert, I'll be the one in the front row listenin' to Jesus like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk and in a tuxedo T-Shirt because it says I want to be formal, but I'm here to party.

By the way do you like the avatar? It took me darn near a year to figure that thing out.

When you say "I am starting to become a real fan of yours now" all I have to say is MAN-CHRUSH.

What former poster do you think I am now since your gutwrench1 conspiracy theory has apparently been debunked? I swear it’s like the John F. Kennedy Assassination for you and you’re trying to figure out if there was a sniper on the grassy knoll.

I’ll try to stay one of the leading anonymous authorities in the state for wrasslin’.

Re: A Thread for Ricky Bobby - 02/14/09 12:25 PM

All right finally the old Ricky Bobby is back. That is what we have been amissin'. Ricky, you have been getting too darn serious on us. We don't mind you being a wrasslin expert now and again. But you were starting to lose your mojo like you did there when that sissy Jean Girard whupped your butt in that NASCAR event. As I recall he also whupped you in a fight where you seemed to have forgotten your old wrasslin moves.

The avatar is great. I can honestly say you have never looked better and it definitely brings out the best in you. I bet your own family would not recognize you since you look so much better.

Actually since you have gone into your serious wrestling posting funk in the last few months. You have actually started to sound more like our designated reporter Richard Salyer than the Misery lovin' gutwrench1.

Well someday we shall meet in the field of battle, Ricky Bobby. And you better be prepared for battle in your racecar attire and not in that pink tutu that gutwrench1 has loaned out to you. In the meantime keep sprinklin in the old Ricky Bobby racecar driver along with your new found profession of wrasslin expert.

Right now I’ve been pouring myself into writing a script for a new Highlander movie, I’m thinking of calling it “Highlander: Back to the Top.”

Also, since Sylvester Stallone has been making more movies I’m thinking of pitching the idea of making another Over the Top, my plan is to name it “Over the Top: The Long Haul.”
