CASA of the High Plains, Inc. in Hays works with abused and neglected children who, by no fault of their own, are caught up in the court system.
We are pleased to present award winning NY Times Journalist and Author Joe Drape as the keynote speaker at the inaugural "Teaming up for CASA" event in Hays, Kansas April 17th, at 7:00. Held at Beach-Schmidt Performing Arts center on the campus of FHSU.
NO THIS DOES NOT SPECIFICALLY TARGET JUST WRESTLING BUT MR. DRAPE WILL BE SPEAKING ON THE SUBJECT OF HOW TOGETHER COMMUNITY, COACHES, EDUCATORS AND PARENTS CAN WORK TOGETHER TO RAISE SUCCESSFUL CHILDREN.
Joe Drape's latest book, "Our Boys; A Perfect Season on the Plains with the Smith Center Redmen" became a NY Times Bestseller and tells the story of a season long journey with the Smith Center High School Football team and how together community, school and parents can raise successful children with the simple values of Love, Patience, and Hard Work.
Tickets are just $5.00 each and we will work out a "Club Discount" if you bring some or all of your club to the event. Special Guests of Mr. Drape will also include Smith Center State Champions Marshall McCall (2008) and Colt Rogers (07, 08, 09 , 10).
