Season opening junior college wrestling will take place on the campus of Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, in the Collins Center.

Starting at 7 p.m., two teams perennially in the top ten nationally will kick off their season. Neosho County CC, under the direction of first-year head coach Merrick Wiles, will do battle with Ellsworth (Iowa). NCCC was ranked 5th in last year's final NJCAA poll, while Ellsworth was 7th in the final poll last year.

Admission is $3/adults or $2/students.

To get to the Collins Center, turn south on Sixth Street off of Highway 56. The gymnasium is located at Sixth and Fremont Streets.

Sorry, forgot to post the date.....the dual will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.

Just to help set up the dual. I am in charge of the NJCAA Rankings and coming into this dual, Ellsworth will be ranked #3 and Neosho will be ranked #8 in the Pre-Season rankings.

In last years national tournament, Ellsworth placed 5th and Neosho placed 6th. Ellsworth had 5 All-Americans and Neosho had 6 All-Americans. Just thought that would help set the stage a little bit.

This should be a great dual between to of the top junior college teams in the land. Hope everyone comes out to watch. Thanks.
