OSU was getting in a good transfer in Fields/Faust (someone give me the right name, can't think at 3:46am) but rumor has it now that since Mocco is on his way and the other HWT didn't sign, expect Lehigh University to land the previously unsigned guy.

OSU can have Mocco; he was a pain in the butt up here, and I don't think anybody is going to miss him — after two years finishing out of the money, the Hawkeyes finished second last year WITHOUT Mocco.

As a multiple wrestling season ticket holder for O.S.U., I am quite pleased with the addition of a former NCAA Champion to the line-up. If Mocco needs an attitude adjustment, I am certain Coach Smith will find the right individual for the job. The wrestling room has several high quality athletes in training (Daniel Cormier) who can assist in this regard.

This is the second highly sought after recruit (wrestler) to leave the Iowa program this year. Todd Meneely, a four-time Nebraska High School State Champion (99, 00, 01, 02), and now Mocco.

While Iowa did add a very talented heavyweight this past recruiting year, Matt Fields an Iowa product who likely will be more comfortable in the program, one can not say an individual who placed second (2nd) in the NCAA Tournament as a true Freshman and won the Tournament as a Sophomore will not be missed. The 2003-2004 final tournament team scores were, 1st - Oklahoma State, 123 1/2 and 2nd - Iowa, 82. A mere 41 1/2 points separated the two.

Richard - Give me the low down on having season tickets for OSU. Is it worth the money (obviously you must think it is)? Do you get to go that often? How long does it take? That might be something I would be interested in.

Barry:

I got carried away and typed several paragraphs of great stories regarding my trips to Stillwater. I would recommend to anyone, if given the opportunity, GO to Stillwater and witness firsthand a quality wrestling dual.

The intensity level, and electricity in the air for a big dual in Stillwater is indescribable.

I have missed only once the last two seasons.

I must stop as I am still going through withdrawal from last season.

I know how you feel Mr. Salyer. I grew up 15 min from still water and have been able to see some of the greatest teams of all time come through. I have seen Iowa, Iowa state, ASU, Minnisota, and Oklahoma. Being able to see Dan Gable in his final dual at OSU was unbelievalbe!!! I sat behind the Iowa bench and you all have no idea the intensity that Coach Gable brought to the mat. Watching Pat Smith dominate for 4 years (watched him tech fall a guy from Mizzu 28-13 in the first period), Alan Freid just dominate everyone that steped on the mat with him, Eric Gurrero combine top notch technique with top notch conditioning, Kendel Cross, Mark Branch, Mark Smith, Cory Baze, Steve Williams(old school OU), TJ Jawarski, Tony Purler, Hardell More, Jacob Newby(before he punked out and quit), and on and on and on....If you ever have a chance to go to Stillwater and watch you need to. If you can't go to Stillwater get to Newman.

I agree 100% I went and saw the Big XII Championshps there as well as the Oklahoma State-Iowa dual 2 seasons ago. We walked up the day of the dual and got tickets mere feet from the mat for $6!!! The electricity was amazing and the lady behind us was really into the match pounding on my back like crazy.

You got to see a few good matches in your time at UCO. Were you there when Jerry Best and Bateman were there? Keep up the fight!!!
