To anyone who gives this crap from James Owens any credence whatsoever...

I have personally known Coach Stovall for the past seven years. I coached with him and then wrestled for him this past year at Newman. This accusation is painful to hear. The man has dedicated himself to not just to Newman but to Kansas wrestling. In addition to that he loves his wrestlers, even those needy ones like James Owens. That's what makes this whole deal worse. Stovall spent a lot of time and effort to work with James, both in wrestling and the classroom. The fact that James would say something like this is rediculous and a complete demonstration of his character or lack thereof.

The problem, James, is that at some point in your life you are going to have to be weaned from your mother's bosom and live like a big boy. The reason you are leaving Newman is that you are too lazy and don't have the heart or character to wrestle for a demanding coach like Stovall. I hope you can nut up and tell everyone on this forum that that is the case. I like you James, we had a lot of good times, but come on, grow up and be a man.

I will also not be attending Newman next year but it has nothing to do with Coach Stovall. He is the best, most sincere, dedicated wrestling coach I have ever known and it has been a pleasure coaching with him and wrestling for him. Most people know this accusation is absurd and I am happy to see that his comments received no response from Coach. They don't deserve his time.

This is a bunch of bull . The reason you are leaving Newman is that you are too lazy and don't have the heart or character to wrestle for a demanding coach like Stovall. I'm willing to wrestle for s coach who knows what he is doing . See thats why I'm going to a better school who knows what they are doing and who has been in the top 3 at nationals. And plus I feel racially discriminated and will be contacting the NAACP. For racial discrimination on the likes of others.

james if you are really planning on wrestling again in college you are not going about your situation in the right way. if you had a problem with stovall you should have talked to him man to man and not posted these topics.now you look stupid, arrogant, and like a jerk. after seing these what coach would want you on there team. it looks like you cause nothing but problems. challanging people to fights is being pretty immature. and about the elligations that you were discriminated against is rediculous stovall treated everybody on the team equally. if he pushed you hard it was only to make you better not that he was singling you ouy and you shoould recognize that. so you need to grow up and act you age and just let this whole topoc go.

james i think you are a nice guy, but i am going to have to say that it is pretty low to put that crap about stovall on this forum. First of all i find it hard to believe that the story you gave everyone is the whole story, or even the truth at all. Stovall did everything he could to help his wrestlers in the wrestling room and out. He worked with you in the wrestling room just as much, if not more, than anyone else; and when you wrestled hard he would commend you. And if I remember correctly he also helped you stay on top of your school work too quite a bit.
Second of all you should have taken your problems up with Stovall or your teamates instead of doing something childish like this.

As for the racial districrimation your speaking about. Well i'm not even going to get started on that because that is a bunch of bull. I don't know what the heck your trying to do. I'm sorry buddy but I think it would be best if you shut your mouth before you make too much of a fool of yourself.

As for Stovall i think he is a great coach and a great person who is dedicated to the sport and his wrestlers.

they whole team you are making the team and the school look bad. deal with your problems in private and in a respectable manner. you dont have to post forums telling high school students not to come to newman just because you had a bad experience. deal with it like a man

What's the matter "King James"? You don't seem to comment on what I'm saying.

It's good James left;
he's practically illiterate anyway,
and seems enomored of himself
beyond what the evidence suggests.

Well let us not get too far ahead of ourselves guys. He said he could care less about the team, so he cares a little bit at the very least. It's a start....
