Weigh In
NOON to 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2006. Wrestling starts as soon as possible after 1:00 pm. "Blocked Weights" may be used depending upon the number of entries.

Eligibility
Any girl/woman who is age 5 or older.

Elementary Division
Division for K-5 graders. Matches - 3 min. 1/1/1. OT 1 min. - TB 30 sec.
Blocked Weights during 2006 season.

Middle School Division
Division for 6-7-8 graders. 4 1/2 min. 1.30/1.30/1.30 Same
74, 83, 89, 94, 97.5, 101, 104.5, 108, 111.5, 115, 119, 123.5, 128, 136.5, 150, Over-150.

High School Division
Division for 9-10-11-12 graders. 6 min Championships, 5 Consy
100, 105, 110, 114, 118, 122, 126, 130, 134, 138, 144, 152, 165, Over-165.

Collegiate Division
Division. 7 min Champs 3/2/2, Consy 6.
107, 114, 121, 128, 133, 138, 145, 154, 165, Over-165.

Insurance
This tournament is insured by the Bob Leid Agency, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, the leading wrestling/team sports insurer in the country. They specialize in wrestling. Policy is available upon request. Send stamped self addressed envelope to the USGWA Director for a copy.

Style
Folkstyle (high school style) rules. National Federation rules book will apply with the exception of weight classes.

Entry Fee
$20.00 per wrestler if postmarked by February 18, 2006; $25.00 at weigh-in REGISTER EARLY!!!!!!

Spectator Admisssion Fee
$6.00. Everyone pays except wrestlers, referees, table workers, and tournament administrators. Children under age 5 FREE.

Individual Awards
Medals to the TOP 3 placers in each weight class in each division.

Uniforms
High School uniforms shall not be worn unless approved by your high school and your states high school athletic association.

Weigh-In Attire
A singlet is the REQUIRED weigh-in attire.

Curious since there is a college division and I know in college they do freestyle, will the college division at the championships be freestyle?

I have been in contact with Kent Bailo, and he says pre-registration numbers are looking good for Sunday. Probably 80 to 90 girls!!!

For those of you that didn't come and watch in McPherson you missed some good wrestling. There were a couple of weight class that looked very competitive and I was impressed with the over all skill level.

Congrats to all the young and older ladies for competing. I am sure with support and effort a tournament like this could really start to imporve the Women's wrestling in Kansas.

I echo that it was great wrestling!

Karissa, I think your brother's or your dad's OSU hat was accidentally grabbed by my friend when they grabbed my things when I was leaving the tournament. Are you going to be going to the tournament on the 19th of March up at McPherson? I can hopefully give it to you then

Yes, I'm fine. I just have torn muscles in my shoulder. I'll be back to the mat asoon as I am cleared to wrestle.Heh,I'll make sure to get up to McPherson on the 19th even if I can't wrestle. Like I said on the board Chenoweth made, It really made my day when Karissa told me that I wrestled good after ny second match, tell her I say thanks
