In all seriousness,

I believe Columbus won the regional at Altamont last year.

Oops!!!! Sorry about that Zahm. You are 100% correct. It was Columbus. No disrespect intended. Columbus did win.

I still think you have to favor Rose Hill based on returning qualifiers and such. Columbus has always been tough and could be in the mix as a top team, but probably not to win it. If I am not mistaking they lost a great crop of kids last year. However, they could definitely be in the mix for top four or so.

Jake Zahm and CJ Napier both have to be the favorites in their wieght.
McReynolds will score points and obviously Moore. With Disney an Hybisha in there it will be tough for him to get to the finals, altough he may be able to beat Hybishia.

Haven't seen Ohara, but if she is at 103 she could score points and get there. I really don't know who else they have, but those five will certainly score points.

Still Rose Hill and Labette, could possibly get eight through and Chanute could get five or six. Pittsburg may only get through 5 or so but two or three could score big. The Koehn Brothers should both win it, and Brown and Summerfeldt should be in the mix. Reike will probably have a couple others in there ready to go as well.

Sorry for the mis-statement (if that's even a word) :-)

Also sorry for not mentioning the likes of the schools further west. I am sure there will be a few in the mix out there I just don't know those teams as well.

There is nobody in the state that can beat Rusty Mayfield. He is, without a doubt, the most dominate wrestler in the state of Kansas.

Regional will be iteresting for sure. It will most likely be a race to the end between Rose Hill and Labette. Teams like Valley Center, Ark City, and Valley Center spread the field a little between those two teams. It is most likely going to be a tight win for either team. Martin from Labette was not there which would have probably been several points. Rose Hill will most likely put more in the finals while Labett will most likely put more in through the back door. It will probably come down to who gets the most pins, techs, and major, as well as who has the non qualifiers that score points.

your right about the gym I have not seen it but have you been in the gym at Holton? I am not from Holton but they have room for three matts end to end and a second gym in the same building about 100 feet from the main gym that will hold three matts and though a door a wrestling room that will hold two matts and a middle school about a half block that will hold two matts. there are very few High Schools in Kansas that have that much room and the big gym has a walk way around the gym that makes a great place to not only watch but its great for taking pictures.
