Have these 2 ever met in a regulation match, if so who won, if not what are some opinions on the outcome....i know, i know Caldwell wrestles 125 and Furches 112 but its a down time so lets go fantasy wrestling. Mr Furches lets dont be modest i know you are but lets here some REAL opinions on this NEW YEARS EVE

It'd be a great match. I think it would largely depend on how Nathan wrestles. If he would go on the offensive and attack, I think he wins. If he wrestles to conservatively Caldwell wins. Both these guys are great wrestlers that have a lot of potential left to fulfill. Perhaps we'll see this matchup in college on a D1 level someday?

i dont mean to knock furches at all. the kid is a freaking stud who has a legit shot at being a 4 timer. but...he hasnt dominated the way caldwell has. if you look at last year, furches lost 3 matches, caldwell lost none, caldwell pinned his way through state, furches didnt. from what i remember caldwell never even got close to losing last year, how many times did anybody last a whole match with him? maybe 3 or 4? he also beat last year's 125lb state champ in the summer(aaron ely). furches is damn good and i believe he'll win it this year, and probably the next 2. but i wouldnt see him knocking off caldwell if they lined up.

It's not like Nathan lost to no name kids though. Trent Cox is a stud in his own right, as well as that Ponderosa kid. Not saying Tyler hasn't wrestled tough kids, but Nathan did lose to a couple of the nation's best.

Oh yeah, don't forget the fact Nathan won Fargo this year in Greco and 3rd in Freestyle(which easily coulda been first w/o a certain call).

thats true...and as i said furches is a great wrestler. but i think you'd be hard pressed to find a better wrestler in the nation then caldwell(at his weight class). perhaps the same is true for furches. but caldwell has been so dominant in high school wrestling i dont see how you can pick him to lose to anyone.

I keep reading about these two being 4 timers. If I had red shirted in High School I would have been a four timer also and I can think of at least six others just from Ark City that would have been. With everyone running their mouths it was bound to be said.

I don't know of anybody that redshirted. Yeah, Tyler went to New Mexico for a year, and yeah Nathan was held back a year when he was a lot younger, but I wouldn't consider that a redshirt year. Maybe they had other reasons than just getting that one year age difference for wrestling? Let's not assume the worst and bad mouth these guys. They're both talented kids that are great on and off the mat. They deserve better than to be talked about in that manner.

what exactly is your problem? do you really have something against parents doing what they feel(and research indicates) is best for there kid emotionally, academically, socially and athletically?

Exhault yourself and you will be humbled! I know this to be true.

Mr Furches and all, im sorry you thought it was crazy, It was a down time and was finishing up Yahoo fantasy football and thought it would be fun, For all who thought it was about redshirting NO IT WAS NOT!, not my decision or my buisness, was hoping maybe someone would come up with another fantasy match...SO I WILL.....Les Miller Ark City vs. Jeff Boyle Norton

Saw both in their prime, Miller was a monster, but Boyle more athletic, he beats him handily.

Three timer or four timer it doesn't really matter to me if you love wrestling then watching furches or caldwell wrestle against good competition is worth the price of admission every time. I can think of alot of great wrestlers in the state that are competing right know that I hope I get a chance to see wrestle this season and alot of great fantasy matches and that's what we should be talking about, how great these kids are on and off the mat. And just remember when you post on here that alot of the kids read this stuff and even if they are teenagers thats somebody's son your talking about.

I mean, it made me laugh when i read some of this stuff, especially about nathan redshirting, its hard to believe that Mike would be looking that far into nathans wrestling career to hold him back in the 1st grade...ridiculous, and it also reminded me on the new Rocky Balboa movie with the simulated fight for some reason

I figured putting an apology on this post would be the only way to make sure everyone was aware of it. Nathan, Mike and the Furches Family, I did not get all of my facts straight and for that I apologize. In the future I will try and be informed of all pertinant information before making a post. Again I am sorry.
