Schoolboy,Novice,Midget wrestlers: TEAM KS WANTS YOU![ Team Kansas is searching for the Best the State has to offer. You have the opportunity to represent KS and compete for the Triple Crown and Dominator Belts. This is an excellent program for KS athletes to compete in the Junior Olympic Program and gain National exposure! To qualify for the best kids team KS has ever assembled you must attend the camp and compete in the Southern Plains Tournament in Hays June 10-16. It is strongly recommended that you compete in the State Tournament in Junction City June 2. The Triple Crown is awarded to athletes who win National titles in all three wrestling styles. (Folk,Free,GR) Folkstyle nationals is the week after State in Iowa. For more info contact Ned Price or Barry Disney. The Olympic Style(FS/GR) Nationals, http://www.wiwrestling.com/WWF/kidsnatl.htm are held in Green Bay WI July 5-8, with camp tentatively scheduled for July 1-4. Do you have what it takes to represent KS? For more information and to reserve your spot on the trip to Green Bay contact Kyle Roberts, news4kyle@yahoo.com , 620-617-8627.

I am working on putting out a flyer for Team Kansas. The newly released National Tournament Flyer for Schoolboy/girl, Novice, and Midget is now available. The entry fee will be $60 for both styles or $35 for one. I am working on a package similar to that of the Middle School Dual team (Hopefully no more than $300). I welcome input and any insight from around Kansas on any aspects of the trip, team, and coaches. The Freestyle and Greco season is upon us and I will update information and specifics as they are available. Good Luck to all this weekend at Folkstyle State!

I was impressed this weekend at the Kansas State Folkstyle Tournament, with the event cordinators, wrestlers, parents, and vendors. Best of luck to all Kansas wrestlers this week/weekend as they compete for National Titles!
This weekend proved to be successful for the Kids National FS/GR Team. I am pleased to announce Coaches Jeremy Biddle, Chad Parks, Larry Perez, and Danny Grater have confirmed their involvement with this event.
Keep up the good work as we finish the Folkstyle season and kick off the Junior Olympic season. Some suggested events this summer include:
April 14-28 Blue Chip Series in KC area
May 5 Pratt/Great Bend-tentative- 6-10 Schoolboy Duals Indy IN 12 Manhattan 19 Andover-tentative-
June 2 State Junction City 10-16 Southern Plains Camp/Tournament 24-27 All-American Camp Winfield (Team Camp)not mandatory
July 5-8 Kids FS/GR Nationals Green Bay WI
Bring it Kansas! I look forward to seeing you this summer.

The Schoolboy duals are June 6-10. With the qualifier at the Manhattan FS tournament. See you there. I also have a waiver for the Schoolboy kids to arrive at Southern Plains camp a day or so late since we will be just coming back from Indy.

Parents and wrestlers,
Our trip is coming up in a week and we are getting the details in order. We will be tentatively leaving on July 3rd and returning the 9th. I am working out the details on a layover in Omaha or Des Moines which will coordinate with a camp to get a workout in before we arrive in Green Bay. The package deal for the wrestlers will include travel, entry fee, t-shirt and shorts, and motel for around $250 USD.They should bring some spending money for meals, entertainment, souvenirs. I believe we will have van space for any parents or coaches who would like to make the trip. Motel rooms in Green Bay are $60 a night. We will be staying across the street from Lambeau field, walking distance to the arena. Registration is due June 30th along with a $100 deposit. More details as they are available. We are taking ideas for our shirts artwork, please email me with any suggestions.
Thanks

Team Kansas leaves tomorrow. I believe everything is in place, give me a call with any questions.
I agree with Akin's assessment of Team Kansas in another post and I know the group making the trip to Green Bay will be well prepared by the time they are Cadets and Juniors.
Have a Safe and Happy 4th!

What a great experience for the youth of Kansas! We had a great trip and made some new friends.
I would like to thank all those who made this years trip possible:
Will Cokeley for arranging the van transportation Larry Perez, and Tyler Gonzales for their coaching and leadership Tom Williams, T. Houser, Jerry Dale, Dave Langley, Gunner Wagh, Doug Penka for their support All the parents for allowing their kids to compete on the national level USAWKS board for their support, and Blue Chip Athletics for our team gear.
I look foward to many great years to come!
GO TEAM KS!

We had a great trip. I would also like to thank the parents, coaches, and kids for allowing this to happen. This is what Kansas need. And again Kyle thinks again for putting this all together!
