Here is what is on Intermat:

Isenberg - Nebraska
Cotton - Nebraska
Koehn - Nebraska
Tannenbaum - Cal Poly
Flynn - South Dakota State
Thoman - Pratt CC
Jordan Keller - Cleveland State
Fisher - FHSU
Andrus - Michigan State
Disney - Minnesota
McCormick - Missouri

The late signing period is not until April so I would anticpate several other KS kids signing then. Scott Elliott, Joe Bach, Matt Noblet, Tyson Graham, Mitch Arnold, Ryan Patterson are just a few who I am looking forward to see what they do.

Any updates on colleges chosen by some of our Kansas wrestlers?

When exactly is the late signing period?

most sports have 2 signing periods. For wrestling, the early signing period was in November. That is when colleges can officially offer a letter of intent which is a written contract to the student athlete. After the short early signing period, colleges cannot offer a formal letter. Athletes can verbally commit but there is nothing signed. For wrestling, in April, is the other signing period where again, colleges can offer a formal written contract. There are many other specific rules that can be found on the ncaa website.

I think this is probably a good place to post this. Parents, and wrestlers, make sure you tell your H.S. Administrators that you want the material sent you and you want to speak to coaches who may wish to contact you. It came to my attention this last week that at least 2 schools, (colleges) have been having some trouble getting in touch with certain wrestlers. Some of these coaches were told by school administrators that the student had already committed and would not pass along their request to contact to the wrestler stating in at least one instance that the students had already committed to a school.

I personally have issue with this as national signing day has not yet occurred and I think the student athlete and their parent should be the ones making the decision as to if they want to speak to the college recruiting coach or not.

Another issue I am aware of, again, from contact from some coaches, is that they have sent some information via mail to certain schools and they are concerned if the material is getting to the student. In one instance, I was told by a coach at a top 20 D 1 School that they had sent three letters of interest to a student and when speaking to the parents of that student were told that the student never received the letters. There is a whole other set of issues here related to things sent by US Mail that never makes it to the student, but students need to be checking with the school to make sure you are getting material that may have been sent to you through the school or coach.

I have a feeling there will be more than one great Big 10 battle between these two.

Is Disney planning on going 285 or 197?

The fact that girls are forced to wrestle at state in the middle of the week is laughably sexist.

Congratulations Gage, we will be tracking your career through your college days. Don't worry about the spiders it's the snakes you have to be careful for.
