In reference to other "threads", intimating that Ryne Cokely has heretofore somehow decided to "duck" steller opponents, in previous tournaments, please take note that Cokely has, evidently, sought out Napier ( an opponent, who, doubtless, in wrestling vernacular,is a pure "stud"). As an aside: I would have liked to have seen Cokely taken a shot at Greenly, Nichter and/or DeShazer in the Derby Tournament. Seem's like he could have held his own in those match-ups.

I, for one, find this "competitive spirit" exhibited by Cokely quite refreshing, admirable, and a real boon to the appeal of wrestling in the state of Kansas, for those not already "hooked".

These type of matches provide sheer excitement. Take for example, the Derby Tournament: The Chase Nelson/Kyle Detmer/Tyler Caldwell match-ups were exciting (perhaps, in and of themselves, worth the price of admission. It was almost eery, the silence in the gym during the Nelson/Caldwell match)!

Kudo's to Chase Nelson (and his coaches) for his willingness to bump down to take on such steller opponents...

it has been my considered observation over the last few years that that the willingness of a "steller" wrestler to put his "record", "reputation" and/or "pride" on the line in a meaningless, pre-season tournament is an aberration.

With the likes of Nelson & Cokely, this year, I'm re-assessing this opinion. From the perspective of a fan/spectator ... thanks alot!

Here's the link, but I don't know if it will be updated during the tournament. Based on a quick look just now, the team rosters are for this year, but the brackets are still last year's.

Brackets are still last year's. Probably not to be updated during tournament. But, it'd be nice to view the matchups...

Brackets are current, but most likely not be updated as quickly as we would like.

The link to the Bobcat is on the previous page of this thread. However, the bracket updates are really behind the match results it seems.
