With Nathan being missing in action lately, maybe the organizer's of the event want another opponent for Mr. Vesta? Nothing against Nathan. I wish him well. I just think it is possible that he might not be there and that is not fair AT ALL to Mr. Vesta. I mean how would you have liked to trained hard for the last few weeks, get up for the match -- and then just walk out and have your hand raised - accepting a forfeit. Just a thought.
Nathan, it you are reading this. Nothing personal. I'm just thinking of Mr. Vesta and what is right/fair for him. If you are reading this Nathan, post and let us know that you plan on wrestling Mr. Vesta Friday night (3/27) in Topeka.
Thank you.

Kenny Ornelas of Chanute or Alan Callahan of Baldwin would be good replacements for an exhibition match against Vesta since both of them are at 112. I'm sure both are still in good shape since they wrestled at the District 1 Dual last week.

I don't take offense at the post as it has been a concern of mine. Jeff Vesta is a wonderful young man who deserves to have someone to wrestle.
Just a note, today, I actually saw Nate for the first time in 2 weeks. I won't go into a ton of detail other than to say we appreciate the prayers and encourage those things to continue. I actually spoke to Nathan about this event.
Nathan did tell me that he was going to wrestle Friday night and that he had a way to get there and pay for his USA card. (he is still not at home and we are practicing "tough love.")
I would hope Nathan wrestled as this was a dream of his ever since he was in the 7th and 8th grade when we first attended. He even had the opportunity as a kids wrestler to walk in with a high school senior one year. He sat in the corner of Joe Cornejo when Joe wrestled Danny Grater. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what Nathan will do for certainty. I would recommend that the organizers make direct contact with him at his cell phone number 316-208-4132, or his girlfriends number 316-312-3644. If they don't speak to him or hear back from him right away, I believe Jeff deserves an opponent. It is not fair to Jeff, or any other possible wrestler.
Again, he indicated to me that he would be there, but no specifics were shared. I also shared with him that it was likely that the event organizers may try to reach him, and that he needed to respond when they did.

I guarantee that anyone who says that is sadly mistaken or just bored and needed to start a rumor. I promise you, baring an unforseen circumstance, Kendric will be in Topeka tomorrow! He is looking forward to the opportunity. So to answer you question!
NO TRUTH TOO THAT!

Thanks Church. I was worried because nothing against the other wrestlers but his match is about 90% of the reason that im leaving a track meet early to get to the dual...lol. I wish him all the other seniors luck on friday night. I hope to be WOW'd
