He received a non-teaching job in near Oklahoma City with an oil business. Also, free him up to train MMA and I believe assistant coach at UCO. This is just what I have heard.

I will be very sad to see Todd leaving as the head coach at Columbus. He did great things with that program. I know he's gotta spend much more time watching C.J in college now.

That makes about three high profile job openings.

Bishop Carroll is now looking to fill their head coaching vacancy. Coach Eshelman is stepping down to an assistant coaching position to allow him time to pursue a masters degree.

All interested parties should contact Larry Dostert @ dostertlarry@bcchs.org or phone 316 729-5272.

The school will be looking to hire a teacher that they can bring on staff. Contracts were just handed out to the teachers, so there is no word just yet as to which departments will be looking for help.

This is not a "high profile position," like the above mentioned vacancies, but a great opportunity for someone looking to start their coaching career and wanting to work with urban youth. J.C. Harmon is looking for a head coach for next season in Kansas City, KS. I will be stepping down as head coach to take a position to teach in Rotterdam, the Netherlands next school year. If you have any questions or know anyone interested, e-mail me at jogutie@kckps.org

The only question I have is: How do I get a job in the Netherlands?

I think Jeremy Finley is down there in Carl Junction. Maybe he is looking at getting back to a real state like Kansas and coach. Call me if you get this Jeremy.

Bill,

I went through the University of Northern Iowa's International teaching fair held in January. I initially was in the hunt to land a job in Brazil, but that fell through and the Netherlands offered and I couldn't resist. I am really going to miss the Kansas Wrestling community. I will definitely stay informed and in contact through this site and others. For anyone that is interested in learning more about international teaching check out the links below. It's where I got started.

Another great place to look for coaches that don't mind going overseas is with the Department of Defense, growing up military I know that we were in Germany the high school my brother went to had wrestling (Baumholder). Anyway here is a link to more information: http://www.dodea.edu/offices/hr/

Josh-
Best of luck to you as you coach Wrestling in the Netherlands!
One of the best countries to visit and (I would imagine live)...so close to everything European! However the Euro is highly inflated on our American Dollar.

You'll really LOVE it over there! May you enjoy your adventure! Be sure and hit the countryside...West Germany & Belgium is within hours to visit as well as France < 3!

In it to win it.
