In Johnson County they only lead to guys wrestling each other for the 4th or 5th time of the season. I HATE THAT.

Kaw Valley League wrestles two (2) league tourneys--at the start and at the end. Seeing a lot of the same kids and teams 3,4,5 times, plus tournaments at B/L Bobcat, Holton, Baldwin City, tonganoxie, etc. Most schools are wrestling only one dual: parents night. When you get beat at region, reflect back on who you wrestled during the season.

That post caused me to look at some of my records. My 103 for instance has only wrestled one person twice and he has 42 matches.

I'm with Will on this one. We got snowed out of Duals and a Tourney or my son would have wrestled one guy perhaps 6 times. As it is, it will probably be at least 4. How many tournaments can teams from Kansas participate in in Missouri?

This will be Gardner-Edgerton last year in Pioneer League. That will make this one special and next year with East Kansas a new experience.

We have only seen one school more then once from our league. And haven't seen a couple of them at all. I like the thought of wrestling rival schools. And in our schools case who the best in the city is.

I am a bit confused by the purpose of the League Tournament in Kansas. Having wrestled in Virginia, we had a District Tournament (like League) but that tournament actually determined who went to Regionals. Then of course your top 4 Regional placers went to State.
I understand that we could look at League as just another tournament that provides more mat time and indicates something about the best wrestlers in the League, but it seems to do no more than that. You are the best in your League...so...
I also see how it can result in wrestling the same kids again that you have already wrestled again and again.
Perhaps we could envision the future where "League" becomes a dual team competition format that crowns a League dual team champion. Then perhaps each League team champion could meet in a State duals competition.
I suspect that if I examined existing threads on this forum, I might find a similar suggestion or something like it. But I just thought I would throw it out there.
Take your own advice.

Out of the leagues having tournaments, which teams would be the favorites in each of those respective leagues this year? Centennial League, EKL, Frontier League, Greater Wichita, KAW?

I completely agree with that. I know in Texas there was district tournaments that determined if you went to regionals.
League in general has no point except to count as more mat time under your belt.
