Great tournament!! Thanks to the Pratt dad (at least I think it was) that gave my son a quarter for his pizza and drink at the concessions. He must have lost his. He was so worried about paying you back, but he never did find you later.

Nice tournament. Mark had a good time. Both brackets were awesome. Very impressed with the staff. A+

We had a great time at Goddard today. Had no real problems. My boys are fairly new to wrestling but did good and learned some things. Only thing that bugs me is people crowding the mat, especially when they don't have anyone wrestling on that mat. They announced several times for people standing at the mats to at least take a knee and no one listened.

The crowding at mat side you will see a lot. you just learn to deal with it. We have been wrestling for about eight years and it hasnt gotten much better. There are some tournaments that really enforce it, but there are some that just really dont. the only thing you can do is ask them people nicely to take a knee and 99% of the time they will or they will move. It just all in how you ask. Nice word will get you a long way. Just remember that.

A few years ago Winfield starting reserving the front row of the bleachers for kids and coaches, and it cleared things up quite a bit. Goddard did the same, and I found it easy to get around the back of the tables and from mat to mat to coach.

You can reserve all the seating you want in the front rows, but if there is no other seating available because of taking too many entries, there are still going to be problems. Some of the worst confrontations I've seen at youth tournaments have occured at Winfield due to those reserved seats!

I don't recall Winfield having any seating problems since they went to the two gyms.
