Just want to say thanks to the Haysville Wrestling Club for going out of their way to accommodate Kasdon,so he could enjoy watching the tourney. Also several parents and wrestlers stopped and gave Kas words of encouragement while signing his cast. He had a great time and enjoyed seeing all of his buddies. Thanks from the Areharts

Thanks to the Haysville Club. Great tournament. I just wanted to say I thought the official who worked in gym #2, mainly on Mat 9 was outstanding in his "method". It is really helpful to actually hear what he is doing. He called the points out loud, counted back points out loud, and would caution wrestlers like" keep it at a 90". As a spectator I thought he was great. I know officials don't always get recognition, but we thought he was great.
Good job, we would highly recommend your tournament next season.

The ref is Doug Mitchell, and YES I agree he is an amazing ref! We had a great team of refs for our tournament.

Was he the ref working mat #8 on Sunday? If so, I would whole heartedly agree. That gentleman had a great touch with the young wrestlers. He also seemed to work every match on that mat, the entire day.

I think he was on Mat 7 part of the day also. Yep, he is a good one. After roughing up bad guys as a police officer all shift, he also refs and coaches wrestling.I believe he helps with Wolfpack jr Wrestling.
Thought the whole crew did well today, novice tourneys are tough to keep up with. Those 19-18 barnburners probably wear those refs out

Sportsfan... That ref on mat 8 on Sunday was Scott Schroeder!! He has started to ref again this year and has been doing some HS matches as well. Not only is he a good ref but he's a firefighter and one of Team Haysvilles head coaches. He truely is someone that gives back to the community. But I guess I'm not very impartial!!! We also had a good group of HS kids step up and get some more experience as novice refs. I thought they did great as well.

I agree about the ref who primarily worked Mat #9 in the 2nd gym on Saturday. We had 4-5 different kids on that mat and he worked most of the matches. He was vocal and in complete control......great ref!!!!
