It is important to talk to your student/athlete about various types of behavior and decisions on and off the mat - before they get to high school. A bad decision now can have life long consequences. Everyday there are many other bad decisions made by kids, young and old adults.

From growing up in sports I know that you will always have a couple of D.A.'s that find one guy to mess with, but this was way over the top for a coach not to know what was going on. The worst thing that could happen is these boys get to give an appology and say how sorry they are and then get to wrestle again next year in high school or college. And for those of you who say that a young man's life should not be ruined because of one bad decision then go talk to the kid that had to endure this crap.

I have heard that this IS changing their college opportunities.

We heard of an incident this past school year where a freshman was peed upon in the showers by a senior. It is my understanding the school acted quickly once they knew of the event and it was taken seriously by school administrators. Like with sexting, I don't think most of the kids doing this type of stuff realize the long term consequences it could have on THEIR future, as well as the psychological damage it might do on the recipient.
