I have emailed several coaches in the Wichita area regarding trying to fill some of the weights. If there are others that are interested please let me know. Right now, I am not able to go due to my Sunday Conflicts but it does look like some folks from the Wichita area is going. The Kansas team looks good and this will be a great opportunity for our Kansas wrestlers to shine. The fact that it is on a Sunday, the Dual, there are opportunities for some to either go up and wrestle the Park Hill tournament on Saturday and the dual on Sunday, or you can stay close to home and wrestle your local tournament. That is what Nathan is going to do, wrestle and then get in some extra matches on Sunday with the dual.

I must say, there are numerous schools that do not offer wrestling, for others, they choose to not wrestle with the school. This dual format provides opportunity for many of our wrestlers to experience the dual team format, and thus, the best of both worlds. Let’s make sure we fill up at least 2 teams for this. Thanks to the Purcell’s, Eric Aiken and Will Cokeley for helping with this.

Thanks Dan, I'll speak to Mike or Will and they will also see this. It would be great to have a tournament like this in the Wichita area at some point. It looks from the roster like we could have filled 3 teams at the smaller weights, it is the heavier ones that we are having trouble with. I hope you got the email I sent, talk later and have a good practice.

I will not be there I instead plan on being at the Haysville tournament on that date.. I found out that Missouri and Kansas cut off dates are different and that Nathan could not wrestle the one tournament. He will be there wrestling the Dual, I wish I could go to that but am not able to justify taking the day off of work. I would have really loved to worked and helped coach the boys along with Mike, Will and Eric but will have to enjoy that opportunity another time. If there are those wanting the All-American shirts I can make sure that Nathan has some available for sale.

Will, I think it would be interesting to list the kids you have selected at each weight so we knew who was going! Thanks in advance.

It looks right now like I may be at the dual this weekend. Here are the weights we currently have and it looks like we are going to have 2 teams, we still have open spots though and those need to be filled tomorrow so please make contact with us ASAP if you want to wrestle. If you live in the Wichita area or between Wichita and Kansas City, I can pick the wrestlers up if need be, I have room in my van and believe there may be others that will help with the transportation. It is possible that some of us from the Wichita area may leave Saturday evening after the Haysville tournament; it all depends on who needs rides. Here is the current line up though.

Team 1:
55 Zac Gentzler
60 Austin Hood
65 Cullen Hood
70 Bo Pursel
75 Aaron Seybold
80 Chaz Lawrence

60 Bryce Shoemaker
65 Jack Mitchell
70 Symon Seaton
75 Ryne Cokeley
80 Zach Tannenbaum

110
115 CJ Staulbaumer
120 Michael Haynes
